Wriggle’s volume is just enough for Saki’s ears to flick inside of her hat. She sighs and stretches her wings, causing more feathers to fall from them.

“Yeah but ain’t insects just another fancy word for bug? And you’re a pretty big one too.” Guess this girl isn’t a beast spirit then. They seem to be pretty rare in the living world, Saki’s noticed. Plenty of animal youkai though.

“Wh- NO! Das nawt how dat goes!!!” Between such a wrong assumption and the feathers being littered in the forest, Wriggle is just going bonkers on the inside. And outside.

“Dat would be like me callin’ ya a bastard raven when yer a bitch ass crow! Dey ain’t da same, right?!” Good for Wriggle to know some difference between birds out of... some level of respect? Or more of a backhanded compliment, heavy on the backhanded.

If those chickens be pecking around the crop soils to eat fellas for dinner, there is going to be a diddly dang massacre in this forest and someone is about to get some free baskets of cooked chicken. By cooked we mean possibly burned but shhh we'll let that play out.

"What 're you? Some kind of bug spirit? I didn't even know bugs had strong enough souls to become spirits." She flaps her wings.

Now hold on just a moment here. Wriggle be out here, minding her business, preparing jars of honey to send off while her delivery beetles marched around her to pass the time. And this stranger had the audacity to visit this isolated area except probably not really to call Wriggle that? Ignoring the fact that that is in the firefly's so given last name?

And somehow said word causes the poor kid to sneeze and cause those beetles to scatter away. Dunno what that's about, wind from those bird like wings? Probably likely, and now this trespasser that is being viewed as an avian foe will have to listen to a nasally brat with a runny nose go on their typical tangent ab-

Ah, no holiday needed, I just felt its been a while since I held up my side of the old agreement, even if its been ages. Thought I’d let you get a taste of where my skill has gotten as of late with the ‘ol brewing business. Good as my early stuff was, I’ve refined… and strengthened… the flavor and potency of my alcohol a lot in recent years, as well as branching out from ‘just’ Mead. How do you feel about spiced rum, for instance~?

“Neva’ heard o’ it.” Oh we’re just gonna jump on topic, ok- “Tho’ I know if I was given any otha’ booze dat ain’t sake, mead, o’.... uh, spiked tea?” With what, Wriggle cannot answer. “Da’ only otha’ thing I know exists but I haven’t really cared t’ have it is, uhhh....” Some fancy stuff, the firefly knows one time Koakuma gifted it to Kurumi but the thought is unable to complete itself in the head.

“But nah, spiced rum are nawt words I heard enta’ my ears!” Wriggle circled around the keg, trying to catch any whiffs that could be emanating. It was futile though, as the on-coming chilly weather is back to hinder the sense.

Outright a bird hater. To hell with them, don’t give a fuck if some of them help pollinate. It’s a dream to get those feathers plucked (should they have them) and make them suffer.

But bats can stay. What Kurumi bias noooo nonsense. Okay yeah bats also eat insects, but Wriggle feels that she has way more in common with a bat than with a bird. Misunderstood, love to eat fruits, and god bless pollen shenanigans.
