Reyna nodded happily when he admitted his appreciation. She was always willing to help after all, it was just kind of part of her. But then he asked the question about gods, she had to force her face to refrain from frowning. She lets out a sigh a moment after that.

"Used to, at least. But we had to kill them. And by we, I mean me and my friends. There is...a very long, complicated, and admittedly tragic story behind the reason for that. If you wish to hear it, I will not be afraid to share it. It is your choice though." She replies, with an even tone.

"K-Kill them?"

Eiz was baffled by such a statement, his eyes widening as his jaw went slack. He composed himself though, a worried frown crossing his features- Gods that needed to be killed? He... Had never thought he'd hear a sentiment like that. Although, now that he thought about it...

"...I suppose I can't fault you. Some part of me wonders if the humans where I come from would do the same thing, if they were able."

Dialga and Palkias fighting, the tyranny of Kyogre and Groudon, the lack of intervention from Arceus... Not to mention the infighting between the Legendary Birds, and who knows what else. It was enough to make him shudder slightly, and his fur would even slightly stick up.

"The other Gods of my world... Aren't exactly the best. A lot of infighting, a lot of trouble that leads to the worlds balance getting upset- generally leading to their third party intervening. A lot of innocent lives get lost sometimes as well, and in one specific case... The universe itself lies in peril."

Eiz found himself musing all of that out loud, and when he realized he had monologued a bit too much would he suddenly snap back to his senses and give an apologetic smile.

"B-But that's neither here or there! Apologies if I dredged up any bad memories- that wasn't my intention!"

Joseph considered that. There were facts, and then his own opinion. Hed go with the facts.

"More or less very friendly. You of course have the few that are idiots, that is to be expected. But a majority of humans treat Pokemon with respect, and they tend to battle together fir experience. Some even have jobs, but I've heard that that is a process. Humans are in some cases like mutual handlers. Its a cohabitation, though the humans have things called Pokeballs, and the more eager, mainly children, or the stupid, tend to throw them first and ask questions later." He explained with a bit of a bite at the last bit.

It didn't happen often, but when it did, it got annoying.

"I'd say if you want to approach humans, be wary but verify." He said as he shrugged.

"Oh! And a few important things!" He said as he went into a bit of an explanation of cars, motorboats and most importantly, airplanes.

It was a lot to explain, but he did his best to condense it.

"So be careful and be mindful if you're up in the sky. I wouldn't want you to get startled by a big flying metal bird and shoot first in a panic."

The more Joseph spoke, the more relaxed Eiz got. Humans and Pokemon lived in coexistence... That brought the Lunala a great deal of joy. It was a far cry from the past, where whenever he left his home, he saw them fighting terrible fights and wars that left so much blood everywhere. He recalled the haunting sights of the ghosts that lingered on those battlefields...

"Good, good... It brings me so much relief to know that relationships are in a much better place. I grew tired of seeing so many wars, it was part of the reason I isolated my home from others."

Of course, Bastet had never done such a thing. She kept her faith high in humanity the entire time, and Eiz had always wondered what she saw in them, what Gleam saw in them.

Now he was starting to see it, and he'd give a small, thankful sigh.

"Well, I'll have to keep that in mind, then. Granted, collisions aren't something to worry about, considering-" He'd turn himself transparent, flying into the ground before popping back up again, "You know. I do appreciate the warning, though."

Reyna waits for his answer, her expression neutral as she simply waits. When he finally gives it, along with his reasoning as to why, she gives a soft smile.

"In that case, I'll help you in becoming the person you wish to be." She offers. It wouldn't do for her to offer to let him speak to Bastet without helping feel like he can handle it. "We can save such talk on what that would entail for later, though. For now, is there anything you'd like to ask me, or any place in Arx you'd wish to see?" She inquires.

"That is... Much appreciated. I feel like I could use every last little bit of help I could get."

Eiz had hesitated for a second, somewhat unsure if he should accept Reynas help. Some deep part of him still scorned the idea of getting help from mortals, but Eiz recognized that part as his old self that didn't die with Enceladus, and he knew better then to listen to it.

However, when Reyna asked him if there was anything else...

"Do... Your people have gods they believe in?" It was a queer question to ask, he supposed, and he decided to give more clarification, "Er, it's just a curiosity. Where I come from, I'm hailed as the God of the Moon."

Joseph just gave a nod. A nod that said he understood and he gently took the tip of his wing with a gentle grasp and gently shook it with a smile.

"I can tell you a few things to help make you more ready for things.. But experience will teach you the most. All I can offer is prepare you for what might've changed. Because I can only hedge on my bets and presume a lot has in the time since you've been gone." he warned Eiz.

"Anything you'd like me to start with?" He asked him easily enough.

The fact that Joseph was kind enough to keep offering to help Eiz brought warmth to the Lunalas chest, and once more he told himself that people did in fact care. He just needed to see that for himself, and after a brief pause to mull things over before nodding his head with a little chortle,

"Oh yes- by my estimate, I've been... 'Slumbering' anywhere from hundreds to thousands of years. Time flows far too fast when you're an immortal like I." He'd start with saying before breathing in and out, deciding to start with a simple question. "Well... What is the status between humans and Pokemon? The last I saw... They were on shaky grounds, at least outside of my home."

Reyna watches as he continues to lament the loss of her and his friend. It must have stung to lose both, especially in such a way. Even though she is saddened by it, this does steel her resolve too. She wants to help him make peace with this in his heart. More than just fulfiling his beloved's last request, but learning why his friend made such a choice. And she has an idea to help with that.

She takes a deep breath and lets it out, to calm herself down. "If you wish, I...might be able to do something to help you. To let you communicate with them, one last time. I am proficient with magics related to the soul, and I can communicate with them. I might be able to speak with their spirits and have you speak with them as well." She suggests.

That offer, it gave him heavy pause. To speak with Bastet one last time... He'd clutch at the scar on his chest, and he'd seriously consider it for a moment. The minute he was silent, eyes closed as he pondered the offer felt like an offer before he'd finally decide to respond to that offer,

"No." He surprised himself with how steadfast he was in that reply, and he'd force a more stoic, static expression on his features, "Don't get me wrong, my heart aches for it, but if I ever see her again... I want it to be when I can look her in the eyes once more. As I am now, I wouldn't be able to do that."

He wanted to show that he could stand on his own, and that he could carry her memory on his shoulders without buckling under the weight. The last thing he wanted to do was give her soul any reason to be upset or unrestful.

Reyna listens intently. Watching as she sees the Solgaleo created with light, to explain better. So, they were gods, and their friend, one who became jealous, turned on them. Such a thing had happened far too often in what she's seen. Worse still, that it seems Baset was also his beloved, to lose her so was likely devestating.

"I'm sorry to hear that. I can't imagine what pain you must have felt when it all happened. Losing someone you care for, especially your beloved...I dare not think about that for my Sadan or Sadha." She says, shaking her head. The idea of losing them was terrible enough as is. She can't truly imagine the pain of actually experiencing such a thing.

"It took me many centuries to get over her loss- her sun never shined as brightly when I was the one taking care of it, and the stars lost their shimmer after my friends death."

Eiz lamented over it, but he could feel himself starting to get lost in the pits of despair yet again. He could also tell he wasn't doing Reyna any favors either, so he decided to try to change the subject to something more positive.

"I came out to these places, these worlds on her request. She always wanted me to get out more..." He'd pause then, a somber smile pressing onto his features as he'd scratch at his cheek with his claws, "And who am I to deny her her final wish? Besides, I've gotten to meet someone like you, Reyna."

Reyna tilted her head as she heard him call her Bastet by accident. Then he explains that apparently she reminded him of someone he knew. Ah, that makes sense. Well, now she didn't want to change the subject, it seemed to her that he needed to talk about this.

"What was she like? You seemed to mistake me for her for a moment." She asks, curious to learn more about her anyway. Plus, it felt like an interesting conversation topic as they kept walking along.

So she had caught his slip-up... The question she poised was a painful one, and Eiz almost wanted to plead with her to change the subject. He trembled slightly then, and as he opened his mouth to speak...

"She was beautiful, more firey then any stars that I ever saw. She stole my breath, then my heart, then had me chase her across the worlds."

He weaved an illusion, one of a great towering Solgaleo. His claws reached out, gently trailing over its cheek as he smiled sorrowfully as he'd softly laugh. "She opened my mind to things I never would've considered- she helped me create the Moon, and I helped her with the Sun. We were inseparable, we were the Night and Day, we saw many sights, traveled to so many places..."

His voice trailed off then as the construct dipped its head, then collapsed into nothing, leaving Eiz just standing there with his head tilted downwards as he'd place his hand over the scar on his chest.

"...She was taken from me. My own best friend, turned mad with jealousy and hatred- killed her and stole her body, transforming themselves into a mockery of our creator."

"I had to kill them, and once more... I stood alone."

Reyna grins at his last words. "Goodness if I don't know the feeling. I've seen so many worlds and people in my travels. It's inspired me to help the progress in my world's technology a lot, and improve our understanding of magic. I've seen things like planes and cars, and magic that creates food out of nothing! It's amazing to see the different worlds, so I say go for it!" She encourages Eiz. She loved traveling with all her heart, from the places to the people and beyond.

"Ah, but let me show you around some more. There's still much to see and do after all!" She continues, as she walked on, keeping a leisurely pace.

"Hah! I just might, Bastet-"

The instant that name escaped him, Eiz fell completely silent, his face paling for a moment as he realized his slip up. He'd trail his claws over his muzzle then, and he'd quickly shake his head as he'd start to apologize for his mistake.

"Ah, forgive me- slip of the tongue. You remind me of someone I really cared about once, Reyna."

He'd explain the situation as he'd start to follow after Reyna, his gaze slightly downcast now. What would she think about these worlds? These people? These places? The Lunala couldn't help but wonder as his heart stung before he shook his head; deciding to change the subject then,

"I do find myself in awe of this place though, it brings back very good memories..."

"Hehehehe, you're fine!" She calls back with a giggle. Either way, she lands in the streets near the bridge entrance of Arx. People were walking about, some of which wave at Reyna as they pass by. There were other lizards, but there was also humans, elves, dwarves, and undead skeletons of them filling the streets.

She waits for him to catch up, before she explains the area they're in. "So, here, we have our people set up many street stalls for visitors and citizens. We sell all kinds of things, from foods, to maps, to souvenirs and even adventuring gear. They set up as a lot of people from out of town or even outside our world often come up this street first." She elaborates to him.

"Hhff, hhhfff. Good heavens, have some mercy on a millenia old codger like me, w-would you?"

Eiz would puff that out through huffs of heavy breaths before standing himself up... Then he noticed everyone passing by, and he found himself awed. He had only heard stories from Gleam about these different races he saw before him- Elves, Dwarves, other lizardfolk, and... Skeletons? He almost wanted to ask about that before he remembered he himself was a ghost.

Straightening himself out entirely then, he'd take one good breath before releasing it in a little sigh as he'd listen to Reynas explanation, turning his gaze up towards her as the disguised Lunala smiled slightly.

"Well, it does certainly seem like a fair bit of people live and go through here! Some I've only heard about in tales from my creator."

He'd explain, sweeping his arms out to his sides in a grand display as he'd find himself smiling wider. "I really must go out to parallel worlds more often, if they're like this one... My, how much must I be missing?"

Ooooh, a new form, huh? This one had a sort of ethereal beauty to it, especially with the flowing mane. She wasn't quite sure she understood why he felt the need to change shape. But if he felt it would look awkward otherwise, that was his priority.

"Truly? It doesn't seem all that different from creating portals to other worlds normally. I suppose I am rather experienced with portals to begin with though, so it might just be a me thing." She muses after his surprised reaction. She shrugged after a moment. "Oh well, that can wait until later. Come on, I'll show you around!" She continues excitedly, as she flew back down into town expecting Eiz to follow her.

A soft sigh escaped Eiz at her response, but before he could clarify further would she suddenly fly off. For a moment, Eiz had to digest what happened before quickly following after her; stumbling slightly due to the fact he wasn't exactly used to these legs.

"H-Hey, not too fast, now! I'm not used to this body-!" He'd call out exasperatedly, but inwards... He smiled. In a way, she reminded him of Bastet- that same eagerness, that same eccentricity... It was enough to warm his heart ever so slightly, to make him feel more at ease.

"You're quite alright. It's no bother, we get many unique visitors here from other worlds quite often. Why, I've met all kinds of people myself. Honestly, you just look kinda cute to me, so I don't think you're gonna be very intimidating." She muses, looking him up and down. While he was large, he was also rather thin, like his body was almost fully made of his pretty wings.

"Either way, if you want, you're more than welcome to come on down and explore the town. And if you need it, I'm also willing to help you get back to Ultra Space. Shouldn't be too hard to make an Ultra Wormhole of my own, having seen one myself." She continues smiling at him.

Well, at the very least, this fine fellow was a good sport about it... The offer to explore did peak Eiz' interest, as well. He remembered the promise he made to Bastet all those years ago, and after a few moments of silence would he eventually nod his head.

"O-Oh, very well. I really must get myself more acquainted with my fellows nowadays... Just give me a moment real quick."

With that being said would he focus his power, squishing his form down and molding it into something else as his body was enveloped in a gentle, but warm silver glow. When it faded, a Hisuian Zoroark appeared where once floated a giant moon bat, and Eiz gave Reyna a warm smile.

"There! This should be better; it'd be a bit awkward for me to float through this place in my true form-" Then what she said clicked with him, and his expression turned to one of surprise,

"M-Make an Ultra Wormhole!? Well, I've never seen a non-Ultra Beast do it, so if you did such a thing... My, I think you'd be the first!"

Awww, he was actually even cuter! Like a big old moon shaped bat. Honestly, she had never such a creature like him though. Especially with what he says next.

"Hmm...Father Moon, and Ultra Space? Never heard of either of those things. You're currently in Rivelon, above the city of Arx. I am the Guide of Rivelon by the way, and the leader of this city. It's kind of become a sort of inter-universal point of travel. A lot of people from all kinds of worlds end up here. I guess your traveling through Ultra Space accidentally brought you here...whatever Ultra Space is." She muses aloud, not really seeming worried. This wouldn't be the first time she's helped someone return home after all.

"Oh, hells, where was I sent this time?"

Realizing none of those locations rang anything even remotely resembling a bell in Eiz' mind. He had half a mind to speak to Gleam about all of this the next time he saw the old man, but Eiz quickly shook his head to try and regain some form of composure.

"Well... In the place I come from, I created the Moon that illuminates their night." Eiz would explain for a moment, seeming a bit wistful as he described that... He didn't let himself get lost it thought though as he'd continue, "And Ultra Space is a vast dimension outside of dimensions- it spans many different places, and that gate you saw me come out of was an Ultra Wormhole."

He'd explain then, but then he'd bow his head in a show of respect to the other. "Well, forgive me if I'm i-intruding, but ah... I was not expecting this place to be my destination!"

Reyna was unperturbed by the noises coming from the strange portal. If something hostile decided to come through, she was confident in her and her people's ability to handle it. Thankfully, that didn't seem necessary, as a strange mystical bat looking creature poked its head out instead. It actually looked rather cute with its big eyes and crescent moon shaped head.

"Ah, of course, apologies if I startled you at all." She says as she flies backward a few paces. "My name is Reyna. What's your name, and what are you, if I may ask?" She inquires curiously. They were a very unique looking being, not something she's ever seen before.

"Oh no, it's quite fine- I'm used to it with these gateways."

Eiz explained as he pulled himself through completely, the wormhole closing behind him. Eyes scanned their surroundings, looking for any details... He noticeably became more nervous as he realized that something was off.

"Erm... I'm Eiz. Father Moon, that k-kinda thing... This isn't Ultra Space, is it?"

He'd ask, realizing that he may have gone slightly off course during his interdimensional travels, and now his nerves were starting to show. Maybe he should've figured that from the others strange appearance not resembling anything he was familiar with...

"It doesn't," agreed Joseph. "But thats why we bear such things. Because it doesn't change those facts. But we continue regardless, because that is our road to atone. To do better, even if it was necessary." He said in a gentle tone.

"And I understand why you are concerned." He paused, paused to think. To word his feelings and thoughts.

"Its hard, to come back to everything and finding it changed. Or find that you've changed. Its hard. Especially when you do it alone." He paused again.

"But that doesn't mean you gotta do it alone." He said, reaching a hand out. A symbolic gesture in this case, in him offering help.

Perhaps it was pretentious of him, or arrogant in another view.

But he could see Eiz was hurting, and lost. And Joseph, being who he was. Couldn't help but want to assist him.

That word kept stinging at his heart- alone. Alone. Alone. He was alone now, wasn't he? He'd close his eyes then to consider all of Josephs words, reminding himself his daughter was still somewhere out there- was she okay? He didn't need to dote over her, but maybe... No, he shook his head then.

He wasn't alone, there were people who cared, but for now he simply needed time. Time to prepare himself to tackle an alien world, time to calm himself and prepare for what would surely be a harrowing journey.

"I appreciate the offer, and I'll keep it in mind, Joseph." He'd start, wording it carefully so the other didn't think he was just crassly shooting him down.

"But I want time to understand how things flow nowadays- and time to fix up the things here, and to prepare myself for such a harrowing aspect. After that, I'll take you up on your offers."

It was only after that would Eiz reach out, gently taking Josephs hand with the tip of one of his wings as he'd muster a soft, small smile onto his features.

Reyna was out and about in Arx as per usual. Greeting her townsfolk, listening to the problems, ensuring that all was well. It took work, considering that this city was often the home to an interdimensional crossroads. People from all sorts of different worlds would end up here either of their own volition, or because of sheer accident. Part of her job was determining which, and whether they would need help returning home.

So, when she sees a new portal open up in the skies above Arx, she wonders who will come out of it, and how would they do so. Said portal was like a strange grid that sucks itself into the fabric of the sky itself. The glowing aura of it was unusual, and not something she was familiar with. She decides to preempt any negative outcomes by flying up closer to it.

"Hmm...what a strange gateway." She muses as she gets closer.

Deep, horrible sounds emerged from the gate that had appeared before Reyna. The sounds of various creatures growling and snarling- the sounds of electricity, explosions, and the far off sound of something coming closer. It almost sounded menacing, but what poked its head through didn't exactly seem to be capable of any of those noises as Eiz made his presence known.

"Oh! Hello there- I wasn't expecting this portal to take me to somewhere like here."

The Lunalas head popped through the gate, and he'd look around for a moment or two. It seemed like he was confused and a bit disoriented as he'd shake his head for a moment before returning his gaze back to the other.

"Mind taking a few steps back? I'd like to come all the way out, but these wormholes can be a bit volatile- I might come out, and you get sucked into it in my stead."

"You're welcome." Joseph said as he pulled away, and he gave a smile. The hug seemed to have helped, if just a little.

"And its a hug," he told him with a bit more of a smirk. "I normally would say its what friends do.. But in this case, lets just say, its something I did because I felt you needed it." He paused, considering his words.

"Carrying all of that pain alone. Its hard." He said, speaking from experience. "Surviving. Being the survivor. Its hard. But you aren't alone. That's the important part." He told him. It didn't matter if it meant in this case of whatever happened. Some would rage at the fact he had to kill his own friend, but Joseph had seen perhaps too much in his life. Seen situations where such unthinkable things were either a mercy, or a necessity. Life wasn't so black and white. Wasn't so grand that there would always be firm lines of why. Things.. Things just weren't fair.

So, Joseph smiled. Not because he was happy, but because he hoped it helped. Hoped it showed he didn't judge.

Eiz went silent for a minute or two, simply listening to Joseph speak, to explain himself, and to explain his view on the situation. Those eyes of his looked down at the Umbreon, almost seeming to pierce through the others own eyes. Eventually after that silence, Eiz would eventually decide to speak in a somber tone.

"Perhaps I'm not, but... That doesn't change what I did." What he did was necessary for survival- for the worlds survival, that's what he told himself all the time. What did it matter though, when the two people he carried closest to him were dead?

"I lost the two people closest to me, and this world- it's alien to me, foreign. I don't recognize it anymore, and I wouldn't be surprised if it didn't recognize me. I've heard whispers from the night sky, of what happens to my kind nowadays, and I'm worried, Joseph."

"From one Lunala to another... Do you know people think we are vampires?"

"Vam... Pire?"

He blinked a few times out of confusion, both out of the other Lunalas appearance, and the fact the term wasn't something he was familiar with. Jaw set for a moment as he pondered it, and he shook his head.

"I've never heard of such a term- and it's never been levelled at me, so I can't say anything about it."
