Mr. Worst Poker Face This Side of the Multiverse couldn’t keep a secret like that to save his life. He’s actively the only one who will consistently laugh out loud at Stan’s jokes, sometimes uncontrollably if he keeps them rolling.
The niblings stare at him like he’s insane. Stan has always been like this largely because his humour developed around the fact that Ford found it so funny growing up. Or Ford’s sense of humour developed in response to Stan’s. Who knows? They functioned like two halves of the same guy for the better part of 17 years.
Think about it, they both made the same snide ‘you want a kiss on the cheek?’ Comment. They both made a ‘xyz still misses you but their aim is getting better!’ Joke. They both make frankly abhorrent pun animal names up - one for mystery shack attractions, one for real anomalies. They’re both sarcastic to a fault. They both offhandedly joke about the traumatic experiences they’ve had. They both get really dramatic telling stories and snarky confident when they have the upper hand.
I fear Ford has no reason to pretend about Stan’s jokes: the jury is in - they’re Ford’s jokes too. He might even be telling them because he heard them from Stan. Though the concept of them just convergent evolutioning the same humour despite being apart is also extremely appealing lmaoo.
