Alcohol poisoning is whenever you ingest a toxic amount of alcohol in the time period you’re drinking. While we usually picture it as not breathing correctly, going pale, and having seizures, those only happen in extreme cases.
If you’re vomiting, confused, passing out, etc. it means you have alcohol poisoning. You can’t “stop when you vomit to avoid alcohol poisoning”. If you’re body is rejecting the amount of alcohol, it’s because it’s at toxic levels and you needed to be done long before. If you can’t get any water down, are alone, and can afford it, try and get to a hospital for an IV. Most hospitals won’t report you if you’re underage (check your country and state laws on whether or not the hospitals report to police).
The major causes of death are suffocating on your own vomit, dehydration, hypothermia, and seizures. There’s also chances of brain damage and heart failure.
Drink in moderation if you drink, fam. It’s not okay to be vomiting, and it’s definitely not fun when you can’t keep any food or water down. Alcohol poisoning is a lot more common than people realize, and if you have a friend who’s passed out you should make sure they’re on their side (so if they vomit, they don’t suffocate) and check that they’re breathing normally.
