So last night 3 black girls at UALBANY were assaulted on the bus by 3 white males while being called niggers and my university did not even properly respond to the situation until they saw people were upset on social media THE NEXT DAY. They continue to call it an altercation while it obviously a hate crime. Just letting anyone out there know if they want to attend UALBANY next semester, don’t bother because they don’t give a fuck about us. Take your money elsewhere. This school sends out warning emails FOR everything with extremely detailed description of the predator but as of now we haven’t received anything and these 3 males are still roaming the campus. If the races were reverse they would have already been packing their bags to return home with a mass email already sent out.

this hits close to home, as a senior going into college (who lives in NY) me and ode of my friends are applying to suny’s and this really makes me reconsider all of that. 

why should we allow ourselves to be apart of this community that is perpetrating this type of systematic racism? why should we give our money, our energy to this type of racism... 

Do better SUNY, protect ALL your students- black youth shouldn’t be afraid of being assaulted while trying to get an education. this is racially charged violence, and unacceptable.
