𖦹 ~ Big Ol’ Eyes

Under no circumstance will Blue let you play with their medical equipment. Zero. Zilch. Nada. Uh.. Why are you looking at them like that? Wait— oh god, please, no, not the puppy-dog eyes. They refuse to give in! But, oh no, you’re tearing up — it’s so cute; you’re so small and sad and nothing has broken Blue’s heart more.

Okay, well… Maybe just a couple minutes wouldn’t hurt, as long as they’re watching, right? Yes, fine, you can wear their stethoscope…

𖦹 ~ Word is Law

When it’s time for a check-up, it’s time for a check up. When it’s bedtime, it’s bedtime.

If you decide to run through the halls of The Skeld after Blue told you it’s time to hit the hay, Blue will chase after you. Truly, they don’t quite understand why you thought that would work — they’re always going to catch up; you’re just wasting time and tiring yourself out.

But, it is kind of cute watching you skitter around… And exercise is good before bed, right? Helps wear you out after your zoomies?

When you’re inevitably caught and Blue tucks you in, they’ll sit right there with you until you fall asleep. They’ll pet your hair and watch as your breathing evens out… maybe even hum a quiet song to lull you further into the embrace of sleep.

𖦹 ~ Co-parenting Fails

Blue will be in medbay, absolutely locked in, mastering their craft, going through the scans of those on The Skeld, before a knock from inside the vent will draw their attention. Figuring Lime just got stuck again, they’d reach in there and pull them out, only to just kind of… stare. They pulled you out of the vent. Where the hell is Lime??? How did you even get in the vent???

More astonished than angry, they’d plop you down on one of the hospital beds, checking you over and making sure you didn’t scrape yourself up in there — they have to patch Lime up often with how sharp some of those corners are.

They will be having an interesting talk with Lime later about leaving you unattended by vents. Lime swears they screwed that vent cover back in before they left.

Okay I’ve got a more organised post about this in the works but I’m just gonna dump a couple of unorganised among us agere headcanons here because I’m gonna be pretty absent from the internet for the next few days. Headcanons under cut, enjoy em and feel free to steal em!

Blue likes to be a model regressor; sweet, patient, quiet, and adorable. But ohhh if they drop far enough or they’re regressing bc they’re tired they are the fussiest baby ever. Stomping their feet, huffing, yelling, ignoring their caregivers, throwing temper tantrums. Usually the first hint that they’ve gotten to a point of overtiredness where they’re slipping is they’ll start being a lot more snappy and a lot less cooperative.

Cyan has a stuffie of the little dog figurine they keep with their crystals. This stuffie is their best friend ever and if they’re little when it’s being washed or it’s gone missing then God help us all because they will have a meltdown of NUCLEAR proportions

Black is usually very quiet when they’re little. They can talk, they just don’t like to - their flat voice usually messes with their headspace a bit and can cause them stress, so usually as soon as they’re little it’s paci/chewllery in mouth and communication cards at the ready. This can lead to a lot of frustration because it’s harder to communicate when you’re not using mouth words. They tried to learn sign but when they’re tiny it’s too hard to remember so they just stick to the imperfect ol’ reliable.

The regressors on the ship are prone to affecting each other’s moods more than the big ones, like how siblings are (speaking from experience here). Usually when one of them is fussy, others are soon to follow. Blue gets put down for a nap? Well then clearly it’s every little’s naptime, whether they’re even all in littlespace or not, thank you very much. Cyan can’t have their stuffie because it’s dirty and needs to be washed and they’re on the floor crying and hitting and overall totally losing it because of this? The caregivers have T-minus ten seconds to calm them down before Blue slips and starts crying too, and probably only a few seconds more before Black follows suite. Obviously this doesn’t apply if they don’t know that someone else is doing something, they’re not psychic, so a lot of the time the method is just to separate the babies once fussiness starts.

The whole ship knows about everyone’s role in regression, and the Skeld has had a lot of impromptu regressor proofing done to make the job calmer and more baby friendly. In an everybody lives AU, this is very hard to explain once they get to Industria.

They all have favourite shows and films, all very different genres. Movie nights are a mess unless what they’re watching was picked days in advance

I love you regressors who cherish fandom as a huge part of your regression. Whether that means playing a beloved childhood video game to feel small, shipping and writing fanfics with the same glee you did as a teen, regressing as a fictional species, finding comfort in a fictional caregiver, and more!!

no they would do that. Blue just trying to work on their tasks while lime just follows and whenever Blue looks back they get closer and closer

A reminder that sadly age regression as a whole is and will likely always be see as a “weird taboo” thing to others.

So dunking on other regressors for using / needing padding to feel superior or “less cringe”isn’t cool at all. Many disabled regressors also use them medically and need them, excluding and shaming those within our community isn’t okay!

there’s a big difference between having your own valid preferences and boundaries, and behaving borderline ableist and cruel towards your fellow regressors.

black is such a fussy baby they're sooo tantrum coded stomping their little paws and rolling around on the floor and everything. but cyan doesn't care and just lets them cry themselves out and then holds them gently while petting them and telling them its ok and they aren't mad. tiny baby just born :( so small :(( the baby ever
