On Sight
âFinding your passion isnât just about careers and money. Itâs about finding your authentic self - the one youâve buried beneath other peopleâs needs.â
â Kristin Hannah
December will be filled with happiness.
December will be filled with blessings.
December will be filled with progress.
December will be filled with kindness.
December will be filled with love.
December will be filled with opportunities.

employer: so what would you say is your biggest weakness?
me: probably just like who I am as a person
And I guess thatâs how you know you love them: when your heart aches; when your stomach drops; when your lungs feel like theyâre caving in, just because of the thought of them with someone else.
An extract from a book Iâll never write #1 (via idktorn)
Iâve spent countless nights staring at the ceiling thinking about you and wondering if youâre thinking about me too
itâs become a habit (via mismatched-socks-love)

âDo you miss me?â she asked with tears threatening to spill. âI miss your laugh, I miss how no matter what youâd always pay. I miss the way you hug me like youâre scared to let go. I miss your smell. I miss your constant cheering me on. I miss all our inside jokes. I miss how no matter how much I messed up, you always stayed.â he said with a sad smile. With the tears running down her face she said, â You know, I didnât want to go. I wanted forever and longer with you. I love you so much, but there was no point in me staying for someone who didnât really love me. You know this, right?â âI know, darling.
(just because you miss me, doesnt mean you love me)
Darling hung heavy in the condensated silence, both too afraid for eye contact. They scooted a little closer together under the umbrella as it began to really pour, their backs turned to the fading traffic and blurred faces. The roaring city grew to a hush, gradually dripping off the black satin of her umbrella until only the rain accompanied them. The street was left in quiet desertion, offering them only the privacy of a single haloed streetlamp and the vapor of their breath. She shivered.
âCold? Itâs pretty freezing out here. And it looks like weâre the only ones still out here.â She met his voice with her eyes, finally raising them from the single drop of water on the ground directly underneath the tip of her nose to his lips. It wasnât the wind that made her shiver again.
âYeah, itâs um, Iâm pretty cold. LookâŚIâm sorry I got emotional. Itâs just I hadnât seen you in so long and then to all of a sudden have you right here in front of me, after everything thatâs happened and how it-â He cut her short by wrapping his warm hands around her white-knuckled fist gripping the handle. He pulled her closer, pressing her into his thick overcoat. He smelled the way a warm kitchen smells; familiar, inviting, comforting. He pulled her far from the biting wind and freezing rain, from the cold past and broken hearts. He pulled her into him and wove his arms around her. She laid her head against his chest, feeling his beating heart for the millionth time. For the first time again.
âDonât apologize. I wouldnât trade this moment for the world.â He held her tight, reminiscent of a fear of letting go. He tilted her head up, his finger delicately hooked beneath her chin. Finally, in their sleeping city drowning in memories; finally, in their cracked history strewn across the pavement; finally, their eyes meet.Â

Months later, she was walking along the busy streets of her home town. Ever since their last encounter, she knew she couldnât stay. She couldnât fall back into his arms, couldnât let him back in.
As the rain started coming down, she pulled up her hood. The calming rain, bringing nothing but flashbacks of their last night. She hadnât been back long, but was still surprised she hadnât seen her ex-lover.
Her mind buzzing with thoughts of him, she wasnât paying attention. As she looked up to assure her thoughts that she was on the right street, she saw him. He was walking this way, and she panicked. Should she turn around, should she say hello? She wasnât sure.
Just as she convinced herself to turn around, she felt a hand grab hers. Looking up she saw those beautiful brown eyes she fell in love with.
âRosalie? What are you doing here?â He said with eyes full of surprise.
âI just wanted to come see my family, I havenât seen them for a while, thatâs all.â
âYeah, itâs been a while. Ever since that night, I canât stop thinking about you. Why donât we get together for coffee, get up?â
He sounded so hopeful, she couldnât say no. Just as she was gonna give him a second chance, she saw another familiar face.
âDarling, what are you doing? Rosalie? Youâre back?â A disappointed look from the girl who she loathed most, the girl who started all the recklessness to begin with.
âDarling? What is she talking about?â Rosalie asks him, worried about the answer. She knows whatâs about to come, but sheâs definitely not prepared.
âOh dear, you havenât heard? Weâre engaged, weâre getting married.â She says with a smirk, a look Rosalies seen much to often from this face.
She looks at her ex-love, her eyes full of question, was it true? He gave her a small, sad smile, taking her hand. It couldnât be, how could this be happening all over.
Considering congratulating them, she looks up. Just as her eyes reach them, she sees them look at eachother. Her eyes full of so much love, and his so full of lust.Rosalie gives him a look of despair.
With a tear rolling down her cheek, âOh darling?â
Knowing she couldnt take anymore, she turned away. Realizing that no matter what some people would never change.
