First of all, I want to thank each one of you. You all are awesome, this community has been one of the most fun places I've ever joined. I was scared to do so, as I never did something like this, but I was instantly welcomed by so many beautiful people. And for that, thanks.

I joined because the silliness drew me, and it certainly has been the most fun I have had in many time. Lately, I've been enjoying the viewer spot more, instead of the participant one.

I want to state, just in case, that no one is to blame for this, of course. I only have words of gratitude for each one of you. I met incredible people here, I swear, people that I can call my friends.

I'm on a hiatus, as I would like to return if I ever feel it again, but anyone is free to make a Monomon blog to replace mine. I also never had any problem with having two or more Monomon's blogs, to be honest.

I'm sorry for the asks, that are left waiting in my askbox. Some, have been waiting for months now. I could never find the motivation to answer them, I apologize. The same goes with the interactions I left discontinued. I'm sorry.

I'll stick around, because as I said, I can read the long arcs and be hyped by them (you people write so much peak), but actively participating is a different story. I tried to, but I fear I will end up burning myself out completely.

Gratitude. Thank you for seeing to it that my father was taken back from the city of Steel. That you took such a risk and sought to save him so… it… means more to me than I can fully express in words.

And a… request. A recent attack upon the Tearless city (previously the City of Tears) has seen to crumbling even the sturdy makings of its gate into little more than useless rubble. I seek to have it replaced.

"He got lost to the void. Last time I saw him he was trying to break into the Tearless City. I couldn't stop him for long. Then I had to return to the tribe."

(She wraps her tentacle around Dryya's claw, looking for support, and the lack of a feature makes her focus switch to that area.)

"You really have no clue what has been going on. The Hollow Knight fixed the leaky ceiling so it no longer rains in the City. And my finger was the price I had to pay to free the White Lady. Breaking a Seal of Binding is difficult because it assures mutual destruction. I damn-near lost my hand."

Dryya stares at Monomon, her stress shining through her normally calm posture. Dryya pulls her down closer to the ground and gives her a hug.

(Monomon accepts the hug, wrapping her tentacles around her, still tense due to her words. The new Tearless City.... She has to go later and thank the Mighty Knight for their work.

She frees Dryya and floats a little higher, her natural calmness slowly returning, yet a small fraction of the nervousness stays.)

What is there to do now?

"I don't know. I'm on break from my duties because me and the Queen are having disagreements. She's been sneaking down to the Ancient Basin to play with the void. A few weeks ago a guard reported her coming home covered in the stuff, and she recently got hurt. I don't like her sneaking away to play with such a dangerous substance. That's why I'm taking a vacation."

Dryya rubs her head. It was a lot, especially when she only wanted to marry Thistle and live her life with her.

"You really have no clue what has been going on. The Hollow Knight fixed the leaky ceiling so it no longer rains in the City. And my finger was the price I had to pay to free the White Lady. Breaking a Seal of Binding is difficult because it assures mutual destruction. I damn-near lost my hand."

Dryya stares at Monomon, her stress shining through her normally calm posture. Dryya pulls her down closer to the ground and gives her a hug.

She frees Dryya and floats a little higher, her natural calmness slowly returning, yet a small fraction of the nervousness stays.)

"I don't know. I'm on break from my duties because me and the Queen are having disagreements. She's been sneaking down to the Ancient Basin to play with the void. A few weeks ago a guard reported her coming home covered in the stuff, and she recently got hurt. I don't like her sneaking away to play with such a dangerous substance. That's why I'm taking a vacation."

Dryya rubs her head. It was a lot, especially when she only wanted to marry Thistle and live her life with her.
