Everyone knows the story, it is one of the things theh teach first in school, however the accuracy of the story has slowly deminished over time. It is still mostly correct but has skme missing key details

What are the different races in WTC?

All the basic fantasy races

The races of the seven mages consist of most of the population but there is many others as well

The seven mages were

Lantis the elven elder

Kelsea the siron queen

Anthony the human archmage

Gregor the demon king

Rake the rogue dragon

Igress the fairy princess

And Gala the kitsune recluse

They each ended up different districts named after them.

The Lantis district is almosy entirly elves

The Anthony district is mostly humans, dwarves, and orcs

The Kelsea district is mostly merfolk, beastkin, and dryads

The Gregor dostrict is mostly demons, lizardfolk, and gargoyles

The Rake district is almost entirly dragons, however this is simply because the architectur is a lot bigger to accommodate for the fact that dragons are 3 times the size of anyone else at a minimum

The Igress district is mostly fairies, goblins, and centaurs

The Gala district is mostly kitsunes and other beastkin

All sorts of races listed live in all of the districts though, even ones not listed. Those are just how most of the population ended up spreading out

Did creating the Tree take away the magic of the mages tpo?

It took more than that, they sacraficed their lives for it.

Magic, in this world, is another force of nature. It doesnt come from anybody, it just is. The spell they made that locked it all away into the tree was very powerful and took all of their life force to achieve. But as a result, no spells worked anymore and nobody could use magic. Not until somw scientists figured out how to plug into the tree for some very basic magic, basicly allowing then to use modern tech
