I'm Sonja. I live in a small town called WillowVale, in Colorado.

I'm eighteen, and my life is extremely boring.

well, sorta.

People in my town are... easily influenced by each other.

A lot of them believe in this cryptid they call "Hourglass" that lives in the surrounding woods.

A giant spider that picks off women one by one.

The girls that bullied me in high school started a rumor that I was he spawn of that thing. Typical mean girl garbage. Landed me on a grippy sock vacation once. That's why the whole "Monster Baby" thing. That's what they call me.

See, this was never a problem, until people started going missing.

They didn't point fingers at me at first.

That is, until Dorothy Corinne went missing.

The girl that made my life hell, that made me wish I was never born, the one I prayed would just disappear every night before I went to bed.

One day, she did.

I thought she was on vacation until they found her body.

Now everyone thinks I'm a murderer.

Oh, and the spawn of the rumored cryptid running around in the woods, but that's another can of worms.

And now I have to figure out a way to convince everyone that neither of them is true.

Especially the cute boy that just moved in.

Anyway, hope I didn't bore you too much.
