I've been sitting on an Eridian Grace AU idea for a bit and then felt like it was time to make it, so here it is. I've got plans for some adventures that follow this transition for Grace as he adapts to his new body and new life.
And yes, this is a Grocky (Grockdrian) story.

@monsterritory made me lineart for Knifetrio and CKAU Children so I could color them in and have fun and I had the best time ever. I am filled with joy and happiness and love you don't understand. I care about them I want them to be happy.

Venven, when I showed him the scant references I had of the bubbies, said they made him think of seasons, so I got zoomy about it and tried to incorporate that into their clothes since their basic colorings had already been decided a long time ago.
Jet is Summer, Honeydew is Winter, Lute is Spring, and Joy is Autumn.
It works out pretty well since Jet and Honeydew both originally have purple in their designs, throwing them onto opposite ends of the cold-warmth spectrum makes them stand out from each other. I also imagine that Jet is specifically a summer fairy and doesn't like the cold, and is very annoyed his rabbit sibling meanwhile is walking through the snow without shoes like its nothing. Oh!! I also looked up winter flowers for the embroidery on Honeydew's jacket, but I have no idea if that idea actually comes across. Still pretty, though. Maybe next outfit should have animal embroidery to juxtapose the flowers on Jet...???
Originally I was going to make Joy's sweater purple/maroon/etc, but then I looked up when grapes are seasonal, and in the Northern Hemisphere its Autumn, so! Grapes! (Grapes are delicious. To Me.) Lute has a sweater with clouds and raindrops because of Spring Showers, but the rainbows were added to give it more color and also because Lute isn't a gloomy character, she's bright and cheery and would take rain as an opportunity to go splash in puddles.
The cubs fur pattern actually goes up their back, around their shoulders, and up to their next before it grows into hair. Their orange skin is also very tiny, fuzzy-soft fur, just like Sam's. The cubs' designs are based on how Pixel Cats did genetics with Pixel Cats Sam and Dream, but I tried to give Lute's ears a similar pattern to this Sam to show that Hey, Genetics Are Happening Here. They have stripes because of Sam, but Punz and Dream's genes gave them spots and orange-whiteness for the reasons and such.
Mouse Dream is important do you know how important Mouse Dream is to me. He's the most important.
Sam is drawn in a way to show what he looks like when he uses his Bipedal Ring, a common item that lets taur-people switch to bipedal when necessary. I've probably mentioned that before in past posts But Still.
Oh! Eye shines!!! All of them have different eye shines. Joy inherited Dream's more circular eye shine, while Lute inherited Punz's (though hers ended up as triangles rather than becoming the diamond shape because Genetics Are Fun). The cubs and Jet have three eye shines rather than the two the adults have. Because they're kids? Maybe, not sure. Jet's line eye shines are something you only get as either a fairy or being a descendant of one. Honeydew only gets one because her eyes are pure white and probably other reasons if I can come up with them.
I'm not sure if Sam's eye shines were originally hearts. They might have started out around and became heart-shaped because of the CKAU. Would have to think about this extensively.
Saw this Rocktiz design by @demonsealtoons (their ref in the first picture) and found him to be quite charming (I'm weak for puffy pants on characters...) so here's some fanart of him
Can't wait to see this little guy in Situations like learning to eat together and being normal about physical touch. And seeing Adrian again someday, of course :3

Thank you sooo much, I love everything about this! I love how soft and gentle they are and that they're Holding Paws and XD is gently bonking Dream's head and I love their clothes and I Fucking Love how fluffy you make all the hair/fur look! The subtle outline changes alone making them seem so Ethereal ✨
