I honestly thought nothing could be worse than 2017. But man, 2019 proved me wrong. I've hurt more, cried more, grieved more and reached out out for help more than I ever have before. My relationship ended with a gun pointed at me, I lost all contact with Rachel and the dogs afterwards, then losing my Dad... I miss him more every day it seems. But I've also seen more good in people this year. Our friends and family rallied around us each time and while we'll never miss Dad any less, it helps to have so many people around that love you. My friends have made sure I haven't been alone almost all year and I've never been more thankful for that. I've lost 9 people close to me in this decade. I'm so ready for this chapter in my life to be over. Most people dread turning 30 but I welcome it. I know myself better now than I ever did. I know that I can literally walk through hell and come out on the other side. I know what I bring to the table and I know what behaviors I'm willing to accept in my life now. I'm proud af of who I grew into at the end of the decade and I'm going to keep working on bettering myself in the next one.
