Leviticus 20:13 (Kuroo x Tsukishima) (Haikyuu!!) (Multi-chap)
Kei Tsukishima is a student at Willow Creek Academy, a private Christian high school in a small town in the Middle of Nowhere, USA, and has grown up with nothing but questions, doubts, and fear of the unknown.
But he has never been less certain about anything in his life than he is about Tetsurou Kuroo.
Chapter 1: John 1:1
He was a punk. And not even some cool, mysterious bad boy that would at least be somewhat interesting. Tetsurou was not cool. He had no mysterious allure. There was nothing interesting about him in the slightest.

SO fun story, this piece is actually the first kurotsuki i wrote after my hiatus this last summer. i wrote pretty much the whole thing in one sitting, which was the first time words just flowed after ages of writing feeling like such a struggle, so even if i never finished it or gave it an ending, itâs dear to me heart (and maybe you can notice something from the end that ended up in ch17 of leviticus instead lol). i hope you enjoy!
Itâs almost eight oâclock in the morning. In two minutes, Keiâs alarm will go off, and Kei will have to get out of bed.
The room is cold, with Keiâs apartmentâs heating struggling to keep up as autumn sets in, but itâs so, so cozy under the covers. Tetsurouâs body heat combining with Keiâs beneath sheets that were just washed yesterday and soft blankets and a duvet thatâs technically red, but admittedly looks pink in most lighting. Kei likes that itâs somewhere between pink and red, though. Pink reminds him of his favorite food. Red reminds him of his favorite person.
And Tetsurou is so beautiful, wrapped up in sheets and and blankets and a big, (sort of) red duvet. The pillow he sandwiched around his head before bed has fallen away in sleep, and his skin, still tan from summer, looks so soft, and his hair is so dark against white pillows and as ridiculously sticky-uppy as always. His nose is whistling a little as he breathes.
Kei likes mornings like this, when he wakes up a bit before heâs supposed to. He likes these stolen moments, these stolen glimpses of Tetsurou. Itâs funny to sort of step back and think that Tetsurou is a person, a living, breathing human being who likes to spend the night at Keiâs when itâs too cold outside to walk to his own apartment. Heâs a real person, a beautiful person, who could be doing anything he liked in this world with anyone he liked, but he chooses to sleep in Keiâs bed so they can walk to university together in the morning. Heâs smart and talented and funny and charming, and heâs also somehow Keiâs.
Two minutes pass, and Keiâs alarm sounds off, and Tetsurou cringes as heâs ripped from his dreams.
âFuck,â he mumbles.
âGood morning to you, too,â Kei half-whispers. Itâs the first thing heâs said today, and his voice isnât exactly cooperating yet.
âI love you,â Tetsurou reminds him, scooting closer to hide his face in Keiâs shoulder.
âI love you, too,â Kei says, and his voice works just fine.

Itâs just past nine oâclock in the morning, and Kei is in his favorite sweater, and his favorite jeans, and his favorite boots, and his favorite scarf, and his favorite jacket, because itâs finally cold outside and he can wear clothes he actually likes again.
Heâs also holding his favorite personâs hand, and his favorite person is also wearing a sweater and jeans, and a scarf stolen from Keiâs closet. It suits him. The flush in his cheeks from the chilly autumn air suits him. The crimson leaves fluttering from the trees they walk past suit him. Nothing in this world doesnât look good beside Kuroo Tetsurou.
âDo you think we have time to stop for coffee?â Tetsurou asks, pulling out his cell phone to check the time. Kei notices heâs changed his phone wallpaper to a selfie they took together the other day. The first time Tetsurou did that, Kei went bright red with embarrassment, but now, he just felt himself blush a little in pleasure.
âProbably not,â Kei says, biting back a smile.
Tetsurou sighs and squeezes Keiâs hand. âMaybe tomorrow.â
Kei smirks. âIf you take less than an hour to get out of bed, then yeah, maybe.â
âShush,â Tetsurou laughs, leaning in to plant a kiss on Keiâs cheek. âYou were slow getting out of bed, too.â
âBecause you kept pulling me back in every time I tried to get up.â
âYeah, Iâm sure barely tugging on your shirt made it so difficult for you to get out of bed.â
And Tetsurouâs right. Kei could have easily escaped Tetsurouâs sleepy, sluggish grip. What was more difficult to escape was the warm snuggles and gentle neck kisses. Kei could never say no to early-morning neck kisses. But Kei shrugs anyway. âYouâre surprisingly strong.â
Tetsurou grins. âYou bet I am,â he says as he drops Keiâs hand and throws his arms around his waist instead, lifting him off his feel to twirl him around.
âTetsu!â Kei shouts, somewhere between a gasp and a laugh.
Tetsurou puts Kei back on his feet, but keeps his arms around his waist as he sighs. âI donât have the energy for this this early in the morning.â
Kei snorts. âYou sound like an old man.â
âYou always say that.â
âYou always sound like an old man.â
âMaybe I secretly am.â
âThen you look really good for your age,â Kei laughs softly, leaning his forehead against Tetsurouâs.
âThatâs the sweetest thing youâve ever said to me,â Tetsurou teases before he presses a light kiss to Keiâs lips.
And as he pulls away, Kei leans after him to kiss him again. And again. And again.
And Kei considers it for a brief moment, but kisses Tetsurou again anyway.
Tetsurou kisses back for a second before pulling away with a laugh. âYou have no self control,â he says he takes Keiâs hand in his once more and pulls Kei along in the direction of the university.
Only around you, Kei thinks to himself as he bites his lip (which now taste like Tetsurouâs chapstick).

Itâs half past ten, and Keiâs bio lecture was let out much earlier than he expected, so now heâs standing outside of Tetsurouâs psychology class with two to-go cups of coffee in his hands. He balances one in the crook of his arm as he digs out his phone to text Tetsurou.
To: Tetsu
can you step out of class for a sec? brought you something
Tetsurou texts back immediately, and Kei shakes his head a little, knowing that Tetsurou was probably already texting under the table and not paying any attention to his lecture.
From: Tetsu
whatd you bring me?~
To: Tetsu
nothing if you dont hurry up
After a few moments of waiting, the door to the lecture hall quietly popped open, and Tetsurou carefully slipped out.
âHey, sweetheart,â he said softly as he closed the door behind him. âShouldnât you still be in-â
Tetsurou cuts himself off with a gasp when he sees that Kei has coffee for him.
âMy lecture got out early,â Kei says with a laugh as he hands over Tetsurouâs drink.
âTwo sugars, no milk, right?â Tetsurou asks as he pops off the lid and blows away the steam.
Kei wrinkles his nose. âWhat else would I order for you?â
Tetsurou takes a sip and smiles. âI love you.â
âI love you, too,â Kei says before they exchange a peck of a kiss. âNow go back to class.â
Tetsurou manages to steal a second quick kiss before he turns to head back into his lecture.
âAnd stop texting Kozume during your classes.â
Tetsurou turns back and slumps his shoulders. âHow do you just know these things?!â
âLucky guess,â Kei deadpans as he walks away to scope out a place to kill time until lunch.

Itâs somewhere between noon and one in the afternoon, and Kei is at a cafe halfway between his and Yamaguchiâs universities.
âItâs been getting so cold,â Yamaguchi groans as he starts slipping off his cocoon of scarves and gloves and a purple puffy coat.
âMm,â Kei hums in agreement as he takes a seat. âItâs nice.â
Keiâs phone buzzes in his pocket. He doesnât want to spend his afternoon with Yamaguchi on his phone texting other people, but... a quick peek wonât hurt.
From: Tetsu
is it okay if i crash at your place again tonight?
Kei stifles a snort as he types out a quick reply.
To: Tetsu
all your rent completely goes to waste
From: Tetsu
is that a no?
To: Tetsu
you can stay over if you want, but i wonât be home for a while. iâm having lunch with yamaguchi
From: Tetsu
alright <3 tell him hi from me! have fun! i love you! iâll see you tonight!
âKuroo, right?â Yamaguchi asks with a laugh that, even after all this time, makes Kei blush in embarrassment.
âHow can you tell?â Kei grumbles as he types out, i love you too, and puts his phone away.
âHeâs the only person that you smile at when you text.â
Kei makes a noise of disgust. âReally? Thatâs so embarrassing.â
Yamaguchi laughs again. âSorry, Tsukki.â
âYouâre not sorry at all.â Kei wants to scowl but his mouth is trying to hold back another smile so he changes the subject.
âHow are your classes going?â
âChanging the subject?â Yamaguchi asks with a knowing smile.
Kei finally manages a scowl. âHow are your classes going?â he insists while Yamaguchi just laughs at him.

After hours of catching up with Yamaguchi and getting some studying done, itâs almost five, and Kei and Tetsurou are finally stumbling into Keiâs apartment. Itâs already getting dark outside, and these days, the darker it gets, the more the cold air goes from refreshing to biting. It made their walk home a lot less pleasant than their walk to class.
âYou mind if I use your shower?â Tetsurou asks as he slips off his shoes, sounding like heâs on the brink of his teeth chattering.
âYeah, sâfine, but make it quick,â Kei tells him as he debates whether or not to take his scarf off just yet. âIâm gonna take a shower, too.â
âWe could always share,â Tetsurou suggested.
Kei narrows his eyes. âHa ha.â
âTeasing,â Tetsurou says softly, pulling Kei gently into his arms and giving him a kiss that was softer and more gentle than his voice or his touch.
And when Tetsurou pulls away and Kei opens his eyes, Tetsurou is just so lovely. His nose is still pink from the cold, but his breath is warm, and his arms are warm, and his lips were very, very warm.
âWhat?â Tetsurou asks, and Kei realizes heâs been staring.
Instead of trying to cover himself, he just leans in and kisses Tetsurou again. And once more for good measure. And another for luck.
âMaybe we can share,â Kei mumbles, because heâs cold and Tetsurou is just really, really warm.
Tetsurouâs eyebrows shoot up, and Kei nearly snorts. âReally?â
âJust showering together,â Kei says. âNot a euphemism. Literal showering.â
âOf course,â Tetsurou says with a smile before quite literally sweeping Kei off his feet.
âTetsu!â Kei gasps, clinging to Tetsurouâs sweater (as if Tetsurou would ever drop him).
âToo much?â Tetsurou asks.
âLittle bit.â Kei takes a deep breath and sighs at his ridiculous, hyper-romantic boyfriend. âBut itâs fine.â
âGood,â Tetsurou says as he leans down to press a kiss to Keiâs neck. âAlso, important question: is kissing going to be allowed in this shower?â
Kei hums as Tetsurou kisses his neck again. âKissingâs always allowed.â

Itâs a quarter past six, and Kei and Tetsurou are waiting on a delivery pizza, and are currently a tangled mess of limbs on Keiâs couch. Tetsurouâs skin is still so soft from the shower, and his embrace is absolute heaven. It would take an army to get Kei to let go of him right now. Or a delivery pizza.

SO I have been doing a very bad job of posting regularly this year, and I have a bunch of WIPs on my computer that have some decent content in them but I have kinda lost inspiration for or just donât think Iâll ever get around to finishing... So, WIP Wednesday seemed like a good solution! Basically, itâs just me uploading a WIP. On a Wednesday. Brilliant.
Why am I posting WIPs instead of fully finished stuff?
1. Iâve been struggling with inspiration and creative blocks off and on for a good while now.
2. Going for long periods of time without posting anything is very discouraging to me, personally.
3. Pressuring myself to put up perfect, 5k word+ fics every single time I post is not good for the creative process.
4. I am terrible at writing short, fully-formed drabbles.

Tetsurou hesitated a moment, glancing over at the mistletoe. He absolutely refused to let himself hope, but he couldnât help but imagine for just a second what it would be like if he and Kei did kiss at this party.
Yeah, Iâm posting a Christmas fic in March, because I found this in my WIP folder and it was literally two sentences away from being done?? So I finished it up and here it is~
