What do you mean you have this thing that has hurt so much, but in your exploration of it, you can find new ways to be the person(or vampire) you want to be? What do you mean you never change or age physically, but you still have changed and aged in experience and growth? Maybe Vesper Childers wanted to be a zoologist, or still does, but the ways in which she has been able or unable to do so have fundamentally changed her and I love that.

The sad thing is, I don't imagine HJ and LaVonte living happily together. I imagine them each trying their own thing, maybe doing long distance in the early stages, but slowly growing out of love. Not because they don't love each other, but because they so profoundly do, they see how being apart makes the other flourish.
