the funniest moment in dungeon meshi is when marcille is having her nightmare and brings up her dead bird while also talking about her dead dad, saying “papa and pipi” and laios automatically assumes pipi is marcilles third nonbinary parent on top of her mom and dad
doing research into my penis options and this is such a funny stock image to use here

Unicorn Doodles
Looming's unicorns are highly dangerous man-eaters that stalk the boundary where civilisations meet the wilderness.
Another!
Some followup Looming Unicorn lore!
In Looming, magical creatures speak in various "muddles", which is a rule applied to any language that is understood by that magical creature like a language: Rhyming words, whispering words, saying words backwards. Unicorns speak in a muddle called Honours. They can only understand you if you speak (in any language) with absolute honesty to them. Speaking dishonestly is akin to speaking a foreign language - they literally will not understand you.
Because of this, they adore human children, especially autistic kids. Where they are extremely hostile to adults, they adopt, protect and play with human children. In my story as a whole, they represent protection of children, but especially queer and autistic kids.
Laying on your left-hand side may make for slower pill absorption.
oh wow! hey if you take pills check this out. new medicine taking meta just dropped.
according to these models, out of the 4 tested postures, the best position to digest pills is laying on your right side. standing upright has a similar time to laying in your back at twice as much as laying on the right side, and laying on the left side is the slowest by far.
laying on right side: pill dissolves in around 10 minutes.
standing: pill dissolves in 23 minutes. laying on the back has a similar time.
laying on left side: pill dissolves in up to 100 minutes.

definitely worth a lot more research.
if you want your medicine to kick in fast, try laying on your right side! if you want your medicine to kick in slower, try laying on your left side.
This makes sense! I learned from a doc that if you have gas pain or nausea, you turn on your left side to make it easier for your stomach to send stuff through. The goal in turning left is to NOT absorb, but to release.
Turning on your right can make nausea/gas pain worse because it has to fight gravity to exit your stomach/body. So, yeah, lying on your right would make things absorb faster because it's going into the stomach lining, which is the point.
Righty-tighty, lefty-loosey
I was going to reblog this anyway for the useful info but the last addition fucking sent me
ever wandered around in an open world video game and noticed there are no children? no elderly people? no fat people? no one using a wheelchair? no one with a guide dog? this is supposed to feel like a living world and there's so much of life that's just not there
lots of people in the notes being like "open world games don't have kids/wheelchair users because if they did the players could kill them!" and I am unrolling my papyrus scroll with my curated reading list on the topic of "oppressed groups being imagined as symbols of innocence and vulnerability that must not be harmed in public instead of acknowledged as real people who are often suffering abuse in private, and why that is bad"
like yeah I'm aware that our culture would go collectively apeshit over kid NPCs being shot up in GTA. I'm also aware that that very same culture is broadly fine with parents beating their actual real life kids, and that most people, even most people who would never hit their own kids, think other real life kids getting hit is not their business to be enraged about. so maybe like. there's something weird going on there.
✦ Cinderella ✦
I might have misread snooter and thought "oh, I suppose he could have a scooter. He's going to race after the pumpkin carriage with his trusted Vespa."
surely if the 10,000th post about how rapists and pedophiles should all die violently will be the one that finally creates support structures for victims and those vulnerable to sa and takes steps towards dismantling the power structures that enable sa. we just gotta keep posting about how rapists and pedophiles should all die violently. it's just around the corner
recent commissions :3
thank you again to everyone, these were a blast to work on !
pet peeve that happens more often than you would both think and want
[image description: a four panel comic of a blank grey person, a blank blue person, and the artist's sona, doc, an axolotl with glasses. in panel 1, doc and the grey person are looking at the blue person, who is saying "hi i am male character with a complex about my identity. i am miserable and forcing myself to be something i'm not. transgender imagery keeps being associated with me especially in scenes where i'm most sad and/or angry about my identity, which is male. even if i hate it. even if it's painful." in panel 2, doc is thinking of an egg over a trans flag while the grey person says "omg transmasc king". in panel 3, doc's thought bubble pops as he quickly looks over at the grey person with a baffled expression. in panel 4, doc, still baffled, looks back over to the blue person, who is saying "i cannot stress enough that i am so unhappy with who i currently am and who i currently am is male". end id]
hey do you guys like my new outfit
[image description: three drawings of doc wearing an oversized shirt. in the first, he is showing the front of the shirt, which says "i did not nor have i ever said that you specifically are not allowed to ever headcanon any male character as transmasc and the fact that so many of you assumed that says more about you than it does me". in the second, he is showing the back of the shirt, which says "lots of you could benefit from taking a second to assess why you feel so threatened by the idea of a character that you enjoy being transfem and also consider how one's biases can bleed into all aspects of one's life including how they enjoy and engage with media". in the third, he is lifting up the shirt to show off short shorts that say "some of you are just misogynists though". end id]
Crimson and Emerald
I was asked to design the clothing for this commission myself, and I even ended up making two versions х)
Character duo where one *remembers I don’t like fitting characters into trope boxes* is a completely fleshed out and realised person *remembers treating characters as real people and not story devices written with intent is bad* who is written by the author and *remembers death of the author* uh. And *fumbles and drops my pile of queue cards* ah fuck wait no *the menacing horse* what was that.
Look, it's simple. If a person has to actively work to make money, they're not "the rich" and they're not the problem. A surgeon making $200k a year still stops making money if they stop showing up to do surgery, because they're still selling their labor. The radical discrepancies in how we value different skills are certainly a problem, but the guy who makes money when he doesn't even get out of bed is the one making money on the value of other people's labor.
Time for my favorite chart!
Notice billions ain't even on there. Outliers something something.
