@ltwilliammowett since it was through one of your posts that I discovered it was possible to sail on tall ships about nine months ago (after being fascinated by sailing ships for as long as I remembered myself), I think it's only fair that I express my gratitude by sharing one of the videos I took of the drop-dead gorgeous Statsraad Lehmkuhl during this year's Tall Ships Races, three weeks ago. Funny how you can influence strangers' lives sometimes, ain't it?
edit: saw people wondering how to do something like this -- I booked my journey through windseeker.org, but you can absolutely go to the individual ships' websites and book from there. Windseeker offers discounts for people under 25 though (even if you're not a eu-national). You can generally learn a lot about casual sailing on Windseeker, and they also have overview of a lot of the tall ships.
If you're wondering whether you should do it: you should. You'll never regret something like this.
