#okay but on a positive note i grabbed lunch with a coworker today #i really like how candid and unaffected she is #as in the other meaning of unaffected #artless idk i like using these words #during our monthly get-togethers she mostly rants about work and i lend a willing ear to her woes #though unfortunately im ill equipped to offer anything other than groans of commiseration for the most part #even though i've been here longer #to be fair we work in different divisions/departments so our tasks are different #and she answers to higher ups im not familiar with at all #but i hope she can at least let off some steam during these lunches #i don't plan on initiating these lunches for more than two times per month just to play it safe #in case im somewhat of an unwelcome presence #but im trying to get over myself #it's been a work in progress for #let's just say years and years
