Hops & Chaos: a big book about beer
For the last 10 years give or take i've been house wordsmith and poet for the successful Dutch upstart beer brand Uiltje. Together with owner Robbert Uyleman and celebrated Dutch artist Gerben Valkema we've churned out something like 400 labels over the years. Reason enough to bundle them in a book with publisher / Uitgeverij L. All the crazy-*ss labels, all the beercan poetry, all the fun. Book launched this week across major Dutch outlets.

University campuses have a long been innovation hotbeds. From Stanford’s Prison Experiment to Pavlov’s dogs study, universities offer the perfect storm of eager early adopters, corporate capital and government grants. Today, universities function as living labs for digital disruption. At Peking University, facial recognition software is making student IDs obsolete. Both Bolton College in the UK and Deakin University in Australia answer student inquiries with Siri-like virtual assistants. The University of Michigan has its own fleet of self-driving shuttles. San Diego State University uses Virtual Immersive Teaching and Learning (VITaL) to study astronomy. Anthropology students with their drones, engineers and their simulators, set designers Imagineering on AR stages, aspiring doctors practicing on virtual dissection tables, this is now de rigeur on every self-respecting smart campus. 5G and IoT will make them even smarter. Non-students need not fret. What happens on the campus doesn’t stay on the campus. All these innovations are coming to a city near you.

Joined the United Nations Development Programme, Moyee Coffee and a few cocoa coops in Ecuador to create the fairest chocolate bar on the planet. Exploring new business models that share the wealth more equally between producers and brands.
Leaseplan’s crazy ambitious ‘What Next?’ film
Wrote the script for this pretty freaking ambitious LEASEPLAN film directed by The Panics' Mischa Rozema and commissioned by Amsterdam agency Etcetera. The 3 minute long film sees journalist and 'Grand Tour' presenter Richard Hammond take the lead in a cinematic, action-packed and unexpected journey through the future of private car leasing.
Heineken’s ‘THIS ONE IS ON US’ water tap stimulates moderate drinking
Worked closely with the guys and girls at Heineken and their creative ecosystem to create this low-threshold and high impact moderate drinking concept unveiled under the Enjoy Heineken Responsibly (EHR) umbrella. Launched at the Rio Olympics, the ‘This One Is On Us’ tap was just awarded the ‘Brands Nudging for Good’ prize from AIM.
