It was a wonderful time 

Then things went downhill

Cn started to air live action shows on a CARTOON channel

The only good cartoons at this time were 

Chowder

And Flapjack

But then cartoon network started to pick itself up

They had loads of quality cartoons again such as

Adventure time

Regular Show

Gumball

Over the Garden Wall

And Steven Universe

It seemed like things were getting back on track

And then…

Another dark age came… worse than before…

The schedule is now filled with mostly a terrible show called Teen Titans Go

And there are terrible reboots of once loved cartoons

And the new shows such as 

We Bare Bears 

And Ok KO and the other quality shows barely air 

And the ones that have recently ended are gone from the schedule completely 

Yes, Cartoon Network has found itself in the dumps again. And its even worse than before. 

Hopefully it can improve again and become the once great network it once was

“A few days ago, I saw a series of gifs of Marie Kondo explaining that, when we’re organizing our clothes, we should choose those that spark joy, and in order to not feel bad about the clothes we have to throw away, we should thank the clothes for the time that they were with us and then let them go.

This caught my attention, and I found on Netflix that she had her own series, where she goes to people’s houses and helps them to organize. I like her method and I want to share some of her advice with you. Who knows. You can always learn something 😉

The Huntress Mask Process

Hey! Ok so first off I got this mask for a dollar at Walmart before Halloween.

And then I cut off the bottom in the shape of Anna’s mask.

You can find a cheap mask like this or just fuckin paper mache your face if you want. Google it lol

I tried covering it in clay to make it, but it was brittle and wouldn’t stick to the plastic, so I covered it in paper mache first (I just did water and flour but go nuts).

You could probably do the whole thing with clay if you had some that was lightweight and not so brittle, like model magic maybe? Anyway.

I used cardboard to make the top of the mask go up further by just cutting out a sort of crescent moon shape and gluing it onto the top edge of the mask.

I used cardboard to fill in the nose where I was gonna use clay later.

I also used cardboard for the ears by gluing two thin layers together and sticking them on the mask.

I covered everything, front and back, with a layer of paper mache.

I used crayola air dry clay to form the nose, blending the edges out into the paper mache and then also putting paper mache over the edges once it was all dry.

I rolled up small pieces of newspaper to make the ridge on the ears, stuck it on, then put more paper mache over it.

I put a layer of mod podge over the newspaper, but honestly I didn’t like painting over it and you could just use the paper mache as a base.

Then paint!

The yellow spots here are wood glue. I used it to fill in some dips and stuff in the mask I didn’t like. It says it’s sandable, but I had a hard time with it, so I just smooshed it in as smoothly as I could. Make sure if you do this to prop it up to dry in a way where the filler/glue won’t drip.

I also used an exacto blade/box cutter to rough up the edges to make it look worn and uneven, especially on the side where Anna’s scar is. Look at reference photos!

Then it’s just weathering and painting! You can see that my eyes were a bit uneven, so I tried to paint it to balance it out a bit.

I cut long, thin pieces of paint and paper out and put dark paint in them to rough it up some. I made it look dirty by using super watered down dark brown paint. The blood is red and brown paint I splattered on it.

I used the elastic that came with the original mask and the veil was just some lace fabric I ripped off of a witch hat I had, but it’s not final.

now that i have your attention…

i have to preface this post by saying that im american. as an american on this website with mostly american-oriented content, i know little of what is happening elsewhere in the world. recently, however, i have noticed that europe is having some issues - specifically issues regarding censorship of the internet.

now, do you wanna know why i prefaced this with ‘im american?’

because the only people that i’ve seen talking about this aren’t americans, but distressed europeans

i don’t know much about the situation, unfortunately. my understanding is that the EU wants to pass two articles that control how copyrighted information is passed on the internet. however, instead of slightly tightening their copyright laws, they seem to want to go to the extreme and censor any content that europeans produce and consume.

now think of how this could affect us, as the jse community.

sean, obviously, is european. born and raised in ireland, moved to the uk in 2017. he has dedicated 6 years of his life to uploading gaming videos and sketch comedies on youtube just for us, to build this wonderful and loving community.

if the EU decides to pass these articles?

shit is going to change, fam

thankfully, sean is in a position as to where he might not get as fucked over by this as others will, but it will still hurt. it will hurt him, as he loves this job and it will force him to find work elsewhere. it will hurt robin, who has been helping sean with his videos, especially the ego content, since 2016. it will hurt many of sean’s friends on youtube (pewdiepie, kickthepj, emma blackery, etc.)

most importantly?

it will hurt us, as sean’s audience.

i don’t know many people within the community, but i have heard stories. stories told through pax panels, stories shared in videos, stories shared across tumblr and twitter. i know sean means a lot to a lot of people out there. he is the reason they smile, the reason they want to get out of bed and live their lives. and i know that without having sean around, it might tremendously impact them. it might cut them off from friends they’ve made online, job opportunities they have because of sean, having a loving, supportive community to come to when their mental health might be in a shitty place, etc.

so why do i want your attention?

because of my position as a non-european, i know little about what is happening in europe and what i should do to help. but i know there are millions of people out there that can help.

i have four requests to ask of you guys, as a member of the jse community and the internet.

1. we need to signal boost the hell out of this to get sean’s attention. if we can get his attention, he can make a video about it, which will spread more awareness and encourage more europeans to take action.

2. i would like if anybody could update this post with information that we can give to sean and others. the more accurate, up-to-date, and easily explainable the information is, the better.

3. i would like to encourage europeans to take action besides signing internet petitions. go out, talk to your governments about this. write them letters. make calls. protest. make. some. noise. the more noise we make, the more we could sway them in our favor.

4. i would appreciate it if anybody could signal boost the hell out of this in general, as members of the jse community and internet. the more attention we can draw to this issue, the more lives we could help impact and (hopefully) improve.

you guys helped us americans when we we going through our net neutrality crisis.

now it’s our turn, as non-europeans, to help you through yours.
