Friendly Fire on @whirlwindflux 's Fleeting Star. I thought she seemed like a great fit for a cozy snowy cabin scene. Maybe the aurora will come out later if this storm clears up, but for now? It's chill time.

Today's attack, Fawn the deer girl excitedly talking about the bounties of the forest with her new friend. Today was an attack against the user Tinysoupcafe. Cute characters and a cute name to match!

Card number four! Gluntch, the Bestower in the style of Princess Cadance. I LOVE Gluntch, such a fun silly card, and maybe you're getting your first hint of what kind of deck my MLP proxy deck is going to be based on this one? I liked the idea of Cadance for Gluntch, obviously they both inherently fly, but her using her love magic to share support with other players felt very fitting for Gluntch's ability, also lacking the defender tag so that she can still fight if she needs to even if she would rather do things peacefully.

Here's the full piece as well, has anyone ever noticed front-facing Cadance kinda doesn't have a body? Girl is all legs I swear

My next card is Plaza of Heroes. The first thing I thought of when finding a statue of a hero in MLP was the statue of Spike, the Brave and Glorious in the Crystal Empire. Plus I already drew the crystal last time so it was easy enough to add as an element to this card too! It's in a wide open courtyard too so it matches up with the original card decently well I think.

Here's the full art of course, and I did decide to remove the watermark behind the rules text after all going forward!

Magic card number two for my pony proxy deck, Chromatic Lantern in the style of The Crystal Heart! I almost went with the Prisbeam Lantern from G5 but I wanted to keep this deck firmly in G4 since it's built around Twilight and her friends. I really like how the colors turned out in this one, I wanted to do a prism kinda thing but didn't commit to a full Pink Floyd type beat. I'm not sure how I feel about the watermark, I might redo both of these cards and leave off the watermark on all future frames. It works as a set symbol, but it covers up the art a bit as a watermark. Maybe I'll try making it monochrome first, but I think it might just have to go.

Finally getting started on my custom art proxy commander deck for Magic The Gathering. I wanted to start with a land so I could have a relaxing time drawing some scenery, decided to go with the classic Bayou dual land and made it into Hayseed Swamp featuring Mage Meadowbrook. I'm not sure how many of these I'll get done before July and Artfight starts, but it'll be a fun side project.

Tried making an Equestria Girls version of my ponysona, Maple Melody. Her proportions ended up being more of a human!Maple than an EG!Maple but she's still pretty cute I think!

Her hair and glasses were an easy translation, and her signature orange leggings were easy enough to make into leggings and arm warmers. My vibes for the outfit were somewhere around outdoorsy librarian in soft autumn colors, something cute and cozy while still warm and practical enough to go on a hike or such. The big loose sweater vest fits the vibe perfectly and emulates her chest floof, while the undershirt and skirt were more vibes based aside form including colors from her tail in the pattern of the skirt. I decided to make her cutie mark into a bag (though I wish I made it a little bigger, it's a bit impractical at this size lol) and emulated her fuzzy fetlocks in the slouch socks over her cute boots (which I also own a similar pair of irl in a size too small haha), sticking out just the same as the fluff between her cloven hooves and orange leggings does normally. The pose is based on one I find myself doing often, something comforting about a hand on your chest, what can I say?

Making a human version of a nonhuman character that's supposed to be you already is a bit weird, like how much should they actually look the real life you? I do wish I could have a braid that big..

Either way, it'll be part of a new post on my askblog soon, just gotta draw the pony part of it next. It'll be nice to post on there again, I've been neglecting it a bit. I have a big pony project that I might start working on soon tho!
