“are you wlw” NO.
i’m a Lesbian with a capital L
using ‘wlw’ as a label instead of ‘lesbian’ does two things:
1. it’s a censorship of the word lesbian. it’s the same as saying ‘lesbean’ or le$bian’ etc, it makes the word feel dirty which makes the identity feel dirty. which it’s not.
2. it excludes the non-binaries of the lesbian community. woman loving woman ≠ non men loving non men. i think that non binary people are marginalised enough even within this community we do not need to be taking their labels away.
don’t forget what the L stands for in LGBTQ.
