One of the most intense and bass heavy performances at Moondance at MoMA PS1 by the fantastic Ras G.

He was joined by Eagle Eye Nebula on a few songs.

His raw fruit shook the whole dome into another stratosphere.

The great Shabazz Palaces channeling other worlds at Moondance at MoMA PS1.

The combination of Palaceer Lozaro and Tendai Maraire is one of the most powerful in today's music landscape.  The organic meets the electronic for an intense workout of percussion, beats and rhymes.

They were also joined on stage by Stas from Thee Satisfaction.

Legendary Ursula Rucker, brought one of her best performances ever to Moondance at MoMA PS1.

Accompanied by Wendel Patrick, they pushed all boundaries of wordplay, sound effects, vocal percussion and electronic music.

A fearless delivery by one of greatest wordsmiths.

King Britt's Fhloston Paradigm takes Moondance to the outer reaches at MoMA PS1. 

This new project, for the forward thinking Hyperdub label, shares its love and influences for science fiction soundtracks and composition. 

Joined by the operatic vocal style of Pia Ercole, this set reminded us of Blade Runner and Fifth Element but with a new twist.

The legendary Hank Shocklee of Public Enemy and the Bomb Squad, raises the temperature at Moondance at MoMA PS1. 

Always pushing the envelope of sound, Hank took us all on a beautiful journey into dub and dubstep. A set to remember.

A panel discussion at Moondance at MoMA PS1. The conversation was about defining the term Afrofuturism and all that it encompasses.

The discussion was led by Ytasha Womack, and included, Dr. Alondra Nelson, Hank Shocklee, King Britt and Ursula Rucker.

Multidisciplinary choreographer D.Sabela Grimes gives a stellar performance at Moondance at MoMA PS1.  His performance was a combination of dance, movement, music, spoken work and singing. 

He also composed his own music for the piece. A beautiful experience

HPrizm from Anti-Pop Consortium opened the Moondance event at MoMA PS1 with an adventurous and fearless set.

*Special Note* : King Britt curated an evening called, Bring The Noise : Afrofuturism x Russolo at the <fidget> space in Philadelphia 11.9.13. This Important event laid the foundation for what blossomed into Moondance.

<fidget> space, run and operated by Peter Price and Megan Bridge, hosts an annual experimental music festival, which was focused around the Art of Noise Manifesto in 2013. They approached King to create an evening, celebrating Russolo in an Afrofuturist context.
