TFP Optimus Prime x human reader

Summery: You get hurt while on patrol with Optimus when it turns into a battle against the decepticons. Optimus doesn't take it lightly.

You groan as you hold your bleeding side, your pounding head rested against the cool rock you were leaning against.

You could still hear the sounds of blasters and metal on metal as Optimus fights the gang of vecicons that had tried to run you off the road.

It was supposed to be a normal patrol, Optimus letting you tag along for some quality time that was often hard to get due to his importance as leader. It had started off normal and calm but quickly turned volatile as you were ganged up on by several vecicons who tried to run you off the road. After he was able to safely lead them off the highway and into the vast desert, away from onlookers and any possible human casualties, he had let you out of his cab to hide while he fought them.

You had hid behind a large rock, but ultimately we're torn from your hiding spot by one of the vehicons. The vehicon's sharp, metal digits digging into and puncturing the skin just below your ribs as it held you like a helpless doll. You squirmed and cried out as you felt the sharp pain, causing Optimus to momentarily glance in your direction from where he was engaged with another one of the decepticons.

Optimus immediately finished fighting the one, quickly dispatching it before quickly running over to you and punching the vehicon holding you in the helm, causing it to drop you.

He quickly caught you in his servo, his other arm turning into his energon blaser and shooting the off balance con in the chestplate.

Optimus's optics quickly looked at you, his optical ridges furrowing in concern as you held your side. His optics quickly narrow in on the red staining your shirt and hand, causing his engine to rev in anger.

He had quickly put you down against a different large rock before quickly running back over to the remaining cons and absolutely massacring them.

He now made his way back over to you, covered in a few scratches in his armor and some spilt energon. His battle mask slid away as he kneeled down in front of you.

Optimus's voice was quieter than normal, softer with a slight edge from lingering anger and slight worry.

"Are you alright, Y/N?"

You look up at his faceplate, seeing his furrowed optical ridges and narrowed optics. You groan as you move to sit up straighter.

"Yeah, I'm okay Optimus. The wound has already mostly stopped bleeding, tis but a flesh wound."

You give a slight chuckle at your joke but you stop as soon as you see his optics narrow further. Your expression shifting to a soft smile as you put your free hand on his ped. Your voice comes out softer this time.

"I promise I'm okay, Optimus. Please don't worry too much."

Optimus's expression relaxes a bit as your hand rests on his ped. He give a slight nod as one servo goes up to his comlink to request a ground bridge. Once he gets confirmation from Ratchet, his attention falls back to you.

He carefully picked you up with a servo, carefully cradling you against his chassis as he gets up from his kneeled position to start moving towards the newly opened up ground bridge.

You notice how quiet he is but decide not to say anything as he walked into the swirling green vortex.

He's quick to hand you over to Ratchet who takes you and sits you on the medical berth so he can grab the things he needs to patch you up.

Optimus had stood off to the side, watching as Ratchet took care of you. Once Ratchet had finished and walked away back to his workstation, Optimus moved closer to you. His low, baritone voice catches your attention.

"May I take you back to my berth? I wish to watch over you as you recharge."

You smile up at him and nod, to which he picks you up again and starts the walk to his berthroom.

Once inside the dimly lit room, he went to the large berth and sat down with you still in his servo.

You can feel his blue optics focused in on the white bandages wrapped around your waist. You smile softly and grab one of his digits and hug it.

"I'm okay Optimus, I promise you that I'm fine."

Optimus's shoulder plates relax a bit and he brings you up closer to his faceplate.

You move your hand to rest on his face plate and he leans into it a bit, his optics closing as he exvents softly.You smile and rub your thumb back and forth against the cool metal.

You both stay like that for a bit before he opens his optics and softly speaks.

"I am relieved to hear that you were not injured gravely, sweetspark."

Your smile turns softer and you peck his faceplate just below his optic.

"As am I, Optimus."

Optimus Prime x chronically Ill reader

Summary: Your having a really bad flare up and your sweet mech takes care of you ❤️

(This is a bit self indulgent as someone who suffers from being chronically ill and being disabled.)

You groan as you try to get up from your nest of soft pillows and blankets, your joints aching and protesting the movement.

You'd woken up that morning with a terrible flare up of your chronic pain and fatigue, making it difficult to leave your shared berthroom.

You grab your cane that was leaned up against the wall closest to you and you painstakingly pull yourself up from the berth. You lean heavily on the cane as you take a deep breath to settle your bearings before leaving the room to go to the human size restrooms and to maybe get some pain relief meds from Ratchet who had slowly gotten a stockpile of different meds for you and the other human allies that came onto the base.

After you finished in the restroom, you made your way to the main part of the base. You got there just as Optimus, Arcee and Bumblebee came through the ground bridge.

Optimus notices you and how your soft facial features are furrowed into a grimace, with your body being tense as you leaned onto your cane for support.

He walks over to you and bends down onto one knee with his large servo stretched out for you to climb onto.

You smile up at Optimus and carefully climb into his waiting palm with some minor difficulties.

"How did your mission go?"

You ask softly, trying to ignore the pain from your aching joints.

Optimus notices how your trying to deflect from your pain by asking about his mission, and while he appreciates your interest, he also cares too much about you to let you push your own comfort to the side.

His low, baritone voice comes out soft and soothing as he looks at your tense body language.

"It went well, the deceptions beat us to the relic but we were able to secure it. But I can see your day has not been so successful, sweetspark. Is the pain bad today?"

You should have known he would pick up on your tense and pained body language, he knew you too well to not see it. You suck on your teeth a bit as you try not to hiss in pain as you slightly adjusted yourself in his palm.

"It's just a flare up, nothing to worry about."

Optimus's optical ridges furrow in concern when he hears the sharp intake of breath and pain in your voice.

"You are in pain and I will always worry about your comfort, sweetspark. Have you taken anything for it? Should I take you over to Ratchet so he can check you over?"

His concern for you makes you softly smile as you relax further in his palm.

"I was just about to go see Ratchet when you came through the ground bridge. I was going to ask if he had anything in his human medicine stash that could tide me over till I get a refill of my meds."

Optimus nods and turns to walk to the medbay where Ratchet is working on something on his workbench. When Ratchet heard Optimus's pedsteps, he looked over at him and also you being in Optimus's servo.

Optimus spoke to Ratchet for a few minutes, asking for a small check over you and for some human pain meds.

Your body felt much better after Ratchet had given you some pain meds and had done his checkup. The meds made you feel a bit tired so you leaned more against Optimus's cupped digits as he carried you back to your shared berthroom.

Optimus looked down at your soft, sleepy body in his servo when he felt your body lean into it more. A small smile graced his derma while he looked at you. He loved looking at his sweet little sparkmate when they were tired.

He entered the berthroom, the door closing behind him. He made his way to the berth, being very careful with his movements as he settled to lay down. He moved you to his chassis, right over his warm, pulsing spark chamber.

You settled and yawned as you nestled into the warm, living metal. You gave a soft kiss to one of his chest doors before sighing contently.

"I love you Optimus"

Optimus's engine purred when he heard your soft and tired murmur. He looked down at you on his chassis with soft, dimmed optics.

"And I you, my sweetspark."

He said softly as you closed your eyes and started to drift off to sleep. He settled in for recharge with one last loving gaze at you.

You sit on the passenger side of Optimus's alt-mode, head leaned up against the glass of the window, staring out at the sandy, dry landscape. Your quieter than normal and Optimus notices, he always notices the small changes in your demeanor. His low, stern but gentle voice coming through the entire interior.

"Are you alright, little one? You are quiet."

You snap out of your dissociative gaze and turn to look at the radio. You sit up straighter and sit your hands in your lap.

"Yes. I'm okay Optimus."

He can tell that your not by the tone of your voice and your weak EM field but he doesn't want to force you to talk about what's bothering you.

"Alright, well if something is bothering you, you can always come to me."

You smile just a little bit and relax your posture. It feels good to know that he won't push you to talk about it but if you need to, he'll be there to listen.

"thank you Optimus."

A low rumble comes from his engine, sort of like a happy purr.

"of course, I'm always here, little one."

A much lighter energy fills his cab as a peaceful silence falls into place as you pull up to the base.

"Degenerate fans are ruining Transformers!" Imma hold your balls as I tell you this, but these "degenerates" (which, in this case, is often just used as a dog-whistle to refer to the queer community or horny people) are the ones RUNNING Transformers.

(Excuse the multi-colored format. It helps me not get overwhelmed as well as separate points. Also, working on this has now become a hobby, so expect edits and new things a lot, lol)

One of the main illustrators for IDW Transformers, Alex Milne, made an art book series called "Hot Motor Oil", in which he draws softcore porn of the bots

The fandom term "interfacing" to refer to robot sex became so popular that TFP made it canon ( "Frankly, I find it repulsive. The idea of you fleshies... interfacing- EUgH" Knockout talking about two humans dating)

G1 had 2 episodes dedicated to human/cybertronian pairings bcuz robot-fucking is deeply ingrained in this franchise and fandom (link to ep, link to ep)

Transformers Prime knows this because they make a joke about June wanting to look good for Optimus

The Transformers being queer isn't a new thing. They've been like this since Energon in 2001 and IDW in 2005. (Technically, the 1990s as well, but the couple in Transformers Zone was between a human and a humanoid alien)

Brainstorm, Perceptor, Ratchet, Prowl, Chromedome, Rewind, Drift, Cyclonus, Tailgate, Blast Off, Crankcase, Ten, Onslaught, Swerve, and Pipes are gay in IDW

Arcee, Lug, Anode, Aileron, Jumpstream, Greenlight, Lancer, and Dust Up are lesbians in IDW

Windblade and Strongarm are lesbians in Shattered Glass

Skids, Roller, and Nickel are bisexual in IDW

Knockout is gay in Transformers Prime and in IDW

Breakdown is either bi or pan in Transformers Prime bcuz he's hinted at being more than just friends with Knockout and also says that he thinks Airachnid is attractive

Mirage is gay in Energon

Cyberverse designers decided to slap the gay pride flag on Hot Rod just because they could. "It might not have been purposful-" there are groups of people who work on designs, so at least ONE of them would've recognized it as the gay pride flag and would've said something. If they didn't want it to be the gay pride flag, they would've changed the colors, especially since the blues and whites clash against Hot Rod's red and orange color schemes. Plus, queer people were working on that show. It was definitely purposeful.

Sideburn in RID 2001 is HEAVILY implied to be pan, as he flirts with red sports cars no matter the gender, faction, or sentience. He even ends up flirting with Megatron when he disguised himself as a red sports car and, when he found out it was Megatron, he wasn't dissapointed that it was Megatron; he was disappointed that Megatron was ugly. Even then, he still proceeded to ask if Megatron kidnapping him would mean that their date was off (Robots in Disguise 2001, episode 7)

Arcee, Anode, Lug, and Howlback are all transgender in IDW

Arcee was supposed to be transgender in Earthspark but Hasbro wouldn't let them. Still, many of the writers headcanoned her as being trans

Airachidis is a trans man

Shredhead is nonbinary

Screwball in Beastwars Uprising uses neopronouns

Acid Storm is gender fluid in Cyberverse

Rodimus Prime, Whirl, Ultra Magnus, Megatron, Springarm, First Aid, Cerebros, Fortress Maximus, Tarantulas, Swerve, Proxima, and Dominus Ambus are all LGBT in IDW(not confirmed which specific sexuality, but they fall under that umbrella)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but from what I've seen, most of the canon romantic relationships in the comics are between two characters of the same gender. This is because art is an INCREDIBLY queer space, and if artists are given enough freedom, they WILL make everything gay.

It also makes sense lore-wise, too. 12/13 Cybertronians are male in canon, and a lot of their populations are heavily skewered to one gender (Cybertron being mostly male and Caminus being mostly female, as an example), so most end up dating and being attracted to bots of the same gender. Even if they're not gay, gender doesn't work the same way for them as it does humans and attraction isn't often tied to gender because 1) they're robots and 2) how can your sexuality be tied to gender if you had no idea there were other genders, or the other genders have been gone for so long that they're basically not relevant to your society? They don't think, "That's an attractive man/woman," but they do think "that's an attractive transformer" because the gender doesn't often matter to them. Hell, Cybertron has so little woman that most bots there assume everyone is male and still flirt with anyone regardless of gender bcuz they don't know women exist, and they don't have terms like "bisexual/gay" because gender hasn't even been a concept for most of them.

An example of their little care to gender when it comes to attraction would be Pipes, who talks about wanting to be in a relationship with someone on the ship and his type and how he wants them to have "a big chestplate." Haha, yes, we all make jokes about him being a titties guy, but Pipes is gay and said that on a of all male transformers because bots don't tend to have gender-specific attraction when it comes to physical appearances. Bcuz this can be difficult for some people to grasp, imagine this: humans have no sexual dimorphism. Men and women look the same no matter what, and the only way to tell is through pronouns. You couldn't look for gender specific things (like boobs) to be attracted to because no one has that, and everyone looks the same no matter the gender. Sure, some people are still gay or straight and prefer to be in relationships with specific genders, but the only way to tell someone's gender is if you ask. That's basically the Transformers.

Basically; the default sexuality for them is bisexual/omnisexual with no focus on gender whatsoever and, if they're not bisexual or omnisexual, than they're most often gay bcuz a very skewered gendered society is what they know and are used to. Sexuality isn't seen as an identity like it is for humans, but as a prefernce. Also, most of these comics were from 2005, 2008, 20014, and 20019. They've been like this FOREVER

In Transformers Rescue Bots, Chase has to explain the concept of male and female to Blurr and Salvage, showing that gender is a choice for them and not defined by any sense of biological sex

Back to Cybetronians X Humans: When talking about Energon Eaters, Blades says that Energon Eaters are scarier than vampires because "They don't brood handsomely", which implies that he finds human men attractive

In Transformers Earthspark, one of the first things Hashtag did when she was born was think about yuri between her and Skywarp. She is also implied to have a crush on Elita 1 (staring at her when she works out, having the typical daydreamy voice and sighing as she tells Elita how cool she is) so she's probably into women

They had Chop Shop hump Elita's leg in Cyberworld (for some reason???)

An animator on the TFA animation team decided to make Bumblebee blush when Prowl was on top of him. It was notable enough for the director to try and find who did it, but since it didn't take away from the plot, they just decided to keep it

One guy on the Beast Wars animation team became so horny over a bot that he drew him with his spike out

The TFP designers all agreed that Knokout was "the sexiest bot they had ever seen" and then allowed him to try and seduce every damn mech on the show.

Honestly, once you research how policing queer media and people's sexual expressions has been used to subjugate people and reinforce puritanical, misogynistic, homophobic, and transphobic beliefs for thousands of years, it's super hard NOT to be upset at policing of people's interests and fandoms. As long as no one is getting hurt (and no, kids seeing gay people holding hands or knowing about the existence of trans people doesn't count as getting hurt as there is no evidence to prove psychological damage, and most people who make art depicting sex actively discourage children interacting with the art and it is not the fault of the artist for children accidently seeing their art and policing art and sexuality does a lot more harm than good, and parents should just watch their damn kids if they don't want them exposed to sex at a young age) it's fine.

And believe me; no one is getting hurt because an alien robot goes by they/them pronouns or because a teenager on Twitter posted their drawing of Optimus and Megatron holding hands.
