“You know we’re going to get in trouble, right?”
Another World (for Luna)
——-Disney AU——
The mind and heart were a strange thing, they had both shared the grief of her daughter’s disappearance with equal fervor but only the heart could have protected the heart from this particular grief. She was nearly a grown woman now–a Lady in her own making not the golden haired child she had held so briefly in her arms. And now she grieves for the life lost while despite the fact her heart is so full of joy at her child’s return she could have–and had–cried.
“Luna, would you like to take a walk around the Gardens?”
This was so strange. Her whole life she had somehow known that she was meant for more. But this? Being an Inhuman. Being the daughter of a Princess. All of it was a little much to take in. She looked over at the woman she now knew to be her mother a little nervously. But smiled and gave a nod.
“I would love to.”

Pietro was quiet at her question as he brushed some of her hair from her face. “No, but I just want to see you.” He said softly as he knew Crystal wouldn’t want him near her after what he did. “I brought you something…” he said with his growing grin.
She frowned a bit hearing that she didn’t know. Her mother had been very clear with her on the circumstances. But she was not about to go run and tell. “You did?” She gave another soft smile. “What is it?”
quickxsilver:
Pietro had been looking forward to this day all week. Crystal had told him that she would be bringing Luna so she could visit for the weekend and honestly he was thrilled to see his young daughter. He knelt down to scoop her up in his arms, giving her a big kiss on the cheek. “Not as much as I missed you, floarea mea,” he said, the grin on his face unmissable. “Did you say goodbye to your mother?”
She gave a huge smile and giggle at being scooped up. Placing her hands on his shoulders to steady herself before making a face at his kiss to her cheek and wrinkling her nose in some protest. “Of course I did.” She replied, honestly a bit sad that they couldn’t all spend the day together. But at least she was getting to see her Father. That was enough to keep her big smile on her face.
ofaccusers:
“We did. And you just so happened to be in it.”
“Whatever you say Lord Ronan.”
onemanpyrotechnic:
“Well, things are a little different now than they were back then. People didn’t know who the Inhumans were when your mom left Attilan; she was able to use her powers as a surprise. Now, we’re a major world power, and people might come after you just because you’re an Inhuman. Besides, she also had the Fantastic Four backing her up. It’s different than running off on your own.”
Dante sighed, putting his hands on his hips.
“Look,” he said, gesturing with his hand. “I wasn’t planning on interfering with your work unless you needed me to. Just think of me as a safety net; if things go as planned, you’ll never even need to use me at all.”
As frustrating as this was. It seemed like she really didn’t have much of a choice. Why was it that her cousins could run off and be Avengers and no one batted an eye? But here she was doing one simple mission and she needed a body guard? It was ridiculous.
“Fine.” She sighed obviously not happy. “But if they wanted someone who was just going to be able to sneak along they made a terrible choice. You’re like a bull in a china shop.”

“You guys are gross. Get a room.”
quickxsilver "Father!" The little girl rushed forward and threw her arms around him without hesitation. It was not often any more that she got the chance to spend time with him. Something that she tried to understand, but ultimately she was just always happy to see him. "Oh I missed you!"
onemanpyrotechnic:
Don’t see me, don’t see me, don’t–
Shit.
Dante stepped out from the corner he’d been lurking behind, smiling slightly sheepishly, holding out a placatory hand.
“Hey there, Luna. When you put it like that… yes?” As a member of the Amaquelin Royal Family, Luna was an incredibly valuable citizen of Attilan, and while Medusa had every confidence that she’d be able to complete her mission admirably, she was still at risk from attack by enemies of the crown.
“Only from a distance, though. I was told not interfere unless absolutely necessary. The world’s a pretty dangerous place, and somebody might get it in their head to attack an Inhuman princess. That wouldn’t be part of your mission parameters, anyways.”
He was telling the truth. Certainly a smart move around her. Luna would have been a little insulted if he had tried to lie to her. It was just simply an impossible feat and it would have left her having to correct him. Now all she had to deal with was the truth that they didn’t completely trust her to do this by herself.
“I knew the risks before I left.” She replied with a sigh. “I’ve only been told them my entire life.”
She took in the older Inhuman, trying to push her annoyance aside. It wasn’t really his fault. He was close to Gorgon and he was the one who constantly treated her like a child still. Dante had just been sent to do his dirty work.
“You know my mom was seventeen when she was on the Fantastic Four, right? I’m two years older. I can handle this.”
freakingpietro:
Pietro laughed as he picked her up, the Speedster having a large grin on his face. “Oh îngerul Meu.” He said kissing her cheek with a smile. “I have missed you too.”
“Does mother know you’re here?” It wasn’t asked in an accusing way. Honestly, Luna wanted them to be happy to see one another. Just like she was happy to see him now.

“Father!” The little girl bounded forward and threw her arms around his legs, as that was all she was able to do at her height. “I missed you!”

This was utterly ridiculous. Finally she had been given a chance to go off on her own. Most of her life had been spent locked up behind Attilan’s walls. And in general, she’d been okay with that. Luna loved her home. Being a child of two worlds she’d allowed to experience much more than most. But there was always trouble. Which meant that she always had to be protected. That was the part that she was just sick of.
But finally, here she was. Nineteen and with a mission from Medusa. It was simple, just an interrogation. Something that she could handle without a problem given her abilities. So why did it seem that she had a sitter?
“I see you there, Dante.” She said with a sigh, turning to face the older Inhuman. “Did Gorgon send you to watch over me?”
"You need to lie down." (Moonfallx)
He shook his head. “No… No, I’m fine,” he insisted, though he so obviously was not. “I’m fine….”
moonfallx
“No you’re not.” She replied slipping her little hand into his. “Please lie down, Father.”

The whisk sinks slowly when her arm stops the vigorous stirring of the batter, the kitchen is a cheery yellow they had picked out together and spent an afternoon painting.
Sighing the Inhuman puts down the bowl and turns to face her daughter fully, hip cocked against the counter–arms crossed and a fist supporting her chin.
”I have an answer and it is logical and well meaning but you are sixteen and the chances of your listening are slim Luna. So should I bother with it or do you want to skip straight to the compromise portion of this and continue on with the waffles?”
Her mother didn’t need to sigh to let her frustration at the question known. Luna could see it written all over her. Like a dark smudge over her usually cheery aura. Luna gave her own sigh knowing that this conversation was not going to get her what she ultimately wanted.
“I may be a teenager mother but I can see when you’re being well meaning. It’s a little hard to write off what people are telling me when I can see the emotions behind them.”
She moved to take a seat at the table, taking her mother in with big blue eyes.
“I want to help.” She insisted. “Tommy and Billy were my age when they were on the Young Avengers.”

“Mother, I don’t understand. You were a member of the Fantastic Four when you were seventeen. Why must I stay at home? Can’t I help in some way?”
