the concept for the piece was like he's in the middle of battle, fighting along the other knights and someone slashes towards him and he catches it with his bare (gloved but still) hands and enjoys the rush of the feeling and the blood dripping on the blade <3 I see this kind of scene a lot in cdramas where like a chara would stop a blade like this in order to protect someone else but I think he'd do it just normally too tbh skdkfjs for the fun of it yk :3

i think my love for the “died and came back wrong” trope in media is that it feels like a very accurate representation of severe trauma where you are alive now, but you died once and you came back and you came back so different that you aren’t anymore. you’re something else.
