“Yeah.. I kinda wanna check out over this way though.” Lucasta decided, hopping easily over a fallen tree, “Did you get the present I left you last winter before I left?”

Shadow Man had spent his winter keeping those who came from wandering too deep. As much as he pretended to hate people, he was just protecting them. It seemed like yet another day, until he saw a form that was so familiar by this point. He waited until she called out too him. After a moment of silence he spoke, “You shouldn’t be this far in and you know that.”

“And you’re gooooonnnnnnaaa stop me how?” Luca asked, “When I’m just trying to collect firewood because my Alpha told me to?” She grinned, she had opened up to him, she wasn’t as shy and quiet with him as she was her pack.

The pack always made their way back to the same forest, after winter had come and gone, and it was that time of year, the snow had melted but it was still cold and frankly, in Lucasta’s opinion, miserable. But with her coat wrapped tightly around her, she made her way into the forest, in her half hearted attempt to find firewood. 

Her real reason was to look for the man she often visited throughout the years of living there, despite his telling her to not go in to far, and other protective things.
