Pin had been off duty but had still heard the most recent call. Someone was worried about something stalking around in the forest. Since he was already heading out to go hunting he figured he would keep an eye out for anything weird. What he hadn’t expected to find was one of the Cullen’s kids out there. His instincts kicked in and he called out to her. “Do you need any help?”

Dustin honestly had no idea why he had gone there. Maybe it was the alcohol. Maybe it was that he needed someone who understood what he felt. Either way, here he was. It wasn’t like he could go to anyone else in his life that lived through something similar. Hearing Mari’s voice brought him back to reality.  “No,” his voice hoarse and quiet, “Talking makes it real.” The tears streaked down his cheek as he looked at her.
