Growing up I was never good at RTS games, but I used to obsessively play Warcraft 3 as the night elves. I'd start a game, finish the objective and then spend hours building up my night elf village. Naturally, when I started playing World of Warcraft I had to be a night elf druid.

I've spent a lot of my time recently playing WoW, and have been utterly lost down the rabbit hole that is housing lol.

The first in a series of five planned illustrations as an homage to GRIS.

Originally I was going to re-draw a piece I did a couple of years ago, however I wanted to explore how the game takes you through the five stages of grief. I replayed it again before starting these illustrations, and I still love the way it was able to tell a story and make me sob like a baby without a single line of dialogue.

Funguary Week 1 - Inky Cap

just a lil' inky cap witch - I don't normally draw mushrooms so this was a fun exercise!

Lyra, my beloved cat of 13 years, passed away this year on Father's Day. She's been by my side through very difficult times and was my little rock of steady and unrelenting love. I struggled a lot drawing this, and struggled a lot posting it, but I know I would've wanted to read a comic like this that validated my grief for her when I lost her.

Wherever you are, Lyra my little summer star, I love you always! Thank you for being the best thing in my life.

Rewatched The Last Unicorn recently, and while I still love the Unicorn/Lady Amalthea, I love this scene with Molly Grue - it breaks my heart in a whole new way now that I'm older.
