that png of the apple that's getting passed around here really bothers me. the one with all the stickers plastered over it. like it's clearly a sculpture and the graphic design on the stickers having them all work as biblical references while still looking like stickers for fruit companies is such an interesting commentary on consumption of christianity and specifically (with the context of this being a supermarket apple) heavy secularization of the concept of sin until it's consumed thoughtlessly. and now the work, which is very intentional, is being passed around thoughtlessly...come on
