gabe had come with a few friends from classes he taked that weren’t dancing. he had only intended to be there until he could dip out and leave but he heard his roommate voice and he beamed. “oh my favorite person look at that, maybe i don’t have to leave in a few minutes!” he laughed and slung his left arm over his roommate shoulder. “first time at a bonfire, you say?” he asked. “thats cute, stick with me and you will be fine.” he said and he walked with him just randomly not going anywhere really. “karaoke yes, one of my special talents is singing, so i’m going to blow you away with my vocals.” he teased.

Jaehyun grinned at hearimg the greeting and also placed one of his arms on Gabe’s shoulder. “Yeah, no. I’m afraid you’re stuck with me now.” He joked. “Mhm, I just never been able to attend before. One time I was back in Korea, visiting my family. The next I was sick, somehow things always got in the way. And you’re a real life saver, thanks!” Jae looked around briefly as they walked, trying to see if the line for karaoke was too big. He smiled at seeing that there were some people there but it wasn’t crowded yet. “Oh, really? I’m ready to be amazed by your skills. Do you have a song in mind?”

Felix was walking along the beach trying to avoid the groups of people around the fire, as he turned to look at all the people he thought maybe he would be missing out on things but he really couldn’t deal with all the drunk people, in fact he really just wanted to be home watching a movie. As he went to turn back around he saw his best friend in the distance and made his way back through the people and walked up to his best friend. “Hey, how are you enjoying tonight?” Felix asked as he sat down. “Did you get to talk to Bree more?” The boy asked wanting to know more about his friend

Jaehyun was taking a sip of his drink, sitting by the beach. He was on his third now and already feeling a bit buzzed. Upon seeing his best friend coming his way, his whole face lighted up. “Felix! I didn’t think you’d come.” He grinned, looking up at him. “I am, it’s been fun! What about you? Do you wanna go dance? I think we should go dance!” Jae exclaimed, getting up. “Yeah, we were talking and making smores,it was nice.”

moonjae pouted and he still had jaehyun’s hand as he pulled him a little closer. “i’m not going to scold you silly!” he said shaked his head and he then beamed at him. he poked his tongue out to wet at his lips and a v creased between his eyebrows. “bree? bree’s here? oh smores are good, did you know you can burn them too much?” he asked. “someone gave me alcohol but i don’t think i should have drank it.” he shaked his head again at himself this time and then looked back at jaehyun. “are you having fun?” he was curious, wanted to know how to have fun with one of his friends properly, didn’t realize he had completely not answered jae’s question. “you look really cute.” he whispers.

“Well, you said ya, not even hyung. Can you blame me for thinking that?” Jaehyun replied, bringing on of his arms to Moon’s back for support as he was pulled even closer. “I think she still is here, yes. We parted not too long ago.” Watching his friend closely, it became clear to him that Moon had consumed alcohol even before the younger admited it. He couldn’t seem to concentrate long enough on topics and was acting a little bolder than normal. “Yes, I found out the hard way, sadly.” He chuckled. “How much did you have? We could look for a place to sit down if you need to rest for a bit. I could also get you some water.” Jae offered, in a soft tone. “I am, actually. This is my first bonfire so at first I wasn’t sure of what to do but Gabe helped and we even sang at the karaoke. We could try that too, if you’re up for it.” Jae suggested, blinking in surprise at hearing the compliment. “Oh, thanks. You look great as well.”

moonjae: unless you’re not and you don’t want to talk about it again. or think about it again then i would understand.

Jae: If it’s not too much trouble for you that’d be great! Jae: No, it’s not that. I’m okay about it too and don’t wanna pretend it didn’t happen cause well, that’d be silly. I was just worried about it affecting our friendship, y’know?

he had somehow been a little bit pressured into having a drink by someone he didn’t really even know. but he was not drunk, maybe tipsy. because he didn’t drink often he was and never had been a big drinker. but he thought maybe he could let loose however he remembered last time he had gotten drunk he and - ah there he was. “ya, moon jaehyun!” his wording was slurred, even sounded drunk without him being drunk. he taked jaehyun’s hand and pulled him closer. “where have you been?” he asked.

After being at the bonfire for a while, Jae decided to take a walk around and socialize more. On his path he stopped a few times and had small talk with a couple friends and then kept going. Until he heard his name being called and turned around to see Moon standing nearby. “Moon, hi! Why are you calling my name like you’re ready to scold me? Jaehyun teased, smiling. His eyes widened a bit, a light blush raising to his cheeks as Moon held his hand and pulled him closer. Jae was surprised as that wasn’t something they did usually. But he leaned on his friend’s side anyway. “I was just walking around, seeing friends. Made some smores with Bree. What about you? Having fun?”

bree’s hues were stuck on the marshmallow that was on the stick she held. the fascination of burning something to cook it ironically made her chuckle. she was so intrigued one side was practically black. hearing jae’s words she quickly turned it while giving him a smile. “ok, ok, do we have anymore graham crackers?” this was like her third smores. they were so delicious, and rich from the chocolate. she playfully rolled her eyes as he tried to show her how to do it. “i’m about to blow your mind. i actually knew how to do this. it was just cute having you demonstrate,” bree slightly bit her lip out of embarrassment. taking her marshmallow out of the fire she settled it between two crackers and chocolate. “fireworks? now that’d be awesome. i haven’t watched fireworks in a long time. i don’t like the sound, but they’re pretty,” as she lifted her smores his next words made her give him a playful glare. she teasingly held up her middle finger before leaning over to blowout the fire surrounding his marshmallow. “i’m not taking that as a compliment,”

“We do, but probably for only about two more smores.” He said, passing her the crackers. At hearing Bree’s next comment, Jaehyun’s eyebrows raised in surprise and he shook his head, laughing a bit. “I can’t believe you decieved me like this! Why would you let me try to teach you and make a fool of myself? That’s really mean.” Jae complained, but he knew she’d be able to tell he wasn’t really upset. Just a bit embarrassed maybe. Taking his marshmallow out of the stick, he assembled his smore with the graham crackers and chocolate and then blew on it before taking a bite. Those really were delicious, and addictive. He was already on his fourth one. “It would, and if we actually had fireworks, this would be a pretty good spot to watch the show. Maybe we should ask someone else about it, get a more reliable source.” He chuckled. Jae was amused at Bree’s reaction to his comment, laughing at seeing the middle finger up. “Wow, so rude. I was just trying to be nice.”

“I think it's time to turn it around now.” Jaehyun said as he notice how Bree’s marshmallow was starting to melt a bit. They had been sitting together for a while now, talking, making smores and eating by the bonfire. It felt nice hanging out together like old times. Jae turned his own marshmallow around a bit, to demostrate. “See? Like this. For first timers I think we’re doing well.” He said, looking up at her and smiling. “I’ve heard there’s going to be fireworks later. The person that told me seemed pretty drunk though, so I’m not sure if it’s true. But that’d be cool.” After saying that, he took his marshmallow out of the fire as it looked ready. “Anyway, looks like we finally found something you can cook without burning!” He teased. @euphcrix

Jaehyun was walking through the beach, looking at the sea and just admiring the view for a moment. He had arrived a bit early and none of his friends were there yet. After some time, he decided to take a seat at one of the chairs near the bonfire and watch what was going on around him. Some people were drunk already, which was amusing to him. The event hadn’t started that long ago. A few minutes later, Jae saw Gabe walking in and got up, pratically running towards his roommate and good friend. “Hey! It’s good to finally see a familiar face. Don’t tell anyone but this is my first time at a bonfire. I don’t know what we’re supposed to do. But I’ve heard there’s a karaoke somewhere. Wanna try it?” @brightstcrlight

“ Oh god, how can I forget? I was near in tears because we were too dumb to figure out the damn thing, ” Ramona admitted, her face turning sour at the memory and how she swore she’d never do escape rooms with Jaehyun again. “ But fine. Be thankful that I trust you with my life because I would never do dumb things with others — or even go out at this hour with my face bare, ” she said, nudging him playfully on the side. “ But sure. I ate dinner more than three hours ago. I could use some snack — maybe instant noodles? I’d probably regret it in the morning when my face is all swollen but,” she shrugged, already turning towards the convenience store.

”Well, to be fair, it was pretty hard to concentrate on solving the clues when there were zombies running after us. We tried our best.” Jaehyun replied, chuckling softly. He could laugh about it now that it was over but it had been scary at the time. “I’m flattered, and you know it goes both ways. I’ll always be up for doing dumb things whenever you need me.” Jae said, laughing a bit at the nudge. “You still look stunning even without make-up so I don’t see how that’s a problem.” He poked her side in a playful manner. “Instant noodles sound great, I’ll have the spicy ones. But so, tell me what’s been happening with you lately. What have you been up to?” He asked as they entered the convenience store.

“you left it in my fridge for like two days. i thought it was free game,” she pointed out before laughing at how goofy they were. especially over a piece of cake. “if this your way of saying i’m never right,” she challenged with a raised eyebrow before chuckling once more. bree loved messing with him. she froze as his thumb came to her cheek. his touch made her shiver. even if it was slight the spot he touched tingled. with a warm smile she brushed his hair from his face. so she could see his brown hues. “don’t be sorry. it was cute, and your blush is adorable,” letting her palm rest against his cheek. gosh she had missed touching him. not that she’d admit that out loud. “i agree. i fgured one of us would be yelling right now,” softly laughing she let her thumb rub circles against his skin. “he’s a good friend. even though i’m sure he wanted to tell me to shut up a few times,”

“Okay, maybe I forgot about it but you could’ve reminded me.” Jae replied, laughing as well. Waching Bree’s challenging expression, he shook his head. “No, we can both be right about things but have different perspectives.” His gaze followed her hand as she brushed his hair away from his eyes, and Jaehyun smiled as it was done. “I don’t know what you’re talking about. No one’s blushing.” That’d have been more effective if he didn’t do it again as she rested her palm on his cheek. “Same here, it’s kinda amazing that we worked things out this quickly. And I’m really looking forward to telling him we’re back on good terms, just know Felix will love to hear it.”
