Solo mission, middle of fuck-nowhere, trampling through a forest to find his objective. "Gh..." Albie grunts as he treads through the dirt and leaves, heavy gear weighing him down. But he continues to walk on, looking around carefully as to not get shot. Not the best outcome. After his legs start to ache, Laswell comes into comms with radio static in his ear.
"Krchr - McKinner, found anything yet?" She asks, watching his location and body cam from the office.
He huffs and shakes his head. "Nothing." He mumbles, then stops walking after he hears shuffling. "...Maybe." he whispers and crouches down, trying to listen and locate. Somewhat like a bat, echolocation. "Potential... soldier." He whispers into comms, griping his gun and aiming it at the entrance of what seems to be an abandoned camp house.
He stalks through, clearing room after room before Albie hears small chatter and footsteps, and he quickens his pace to try and find them before they get away. He enters a small supply closet, flashlight on his gun as he aims it in, eyes scattering over the room. "Surrender, you've been found." He coldly states as he stares into the eyes of a soldier backed into the corner, weapon aimed right back at him. "Put it down." He growls out, pointing to the ground. "Now!"
Siren slowly began to curl up. Until none of her skin was showing. Looking like a crate or some other object in the low light of the building. She couldn't understand what the soilders were saying.
She thought about just leaving. She did bring like to kill or fight. Not unless it was an absolute last resort. Things could get pretty messy. But if she left Albie behind, he'd likely give away her position if it meant saving his skin. So, Siren crept up behind the Russian soilder and went for a silent takedown.

River noticed Vergil taking a closer look at Asteroth. "It's pretty convenient, being able to turn a large scythe into a small form." She took the cube back out. Up close it looked like just a normal cube, with a few different bits and bobs on the side, mostly for fidgeting. "It was a gift from my father when I was young. There are a few weapons like it out there, at least that I've heard of. But I've only ever seen one other, own by a child of Poseidon. It's name tide terror or something like that. But instead of turning into a scythe it's a sword." She carefully tossed the cube up and catching it with her hands with a few times before putting it away.
"I hope that trinket still works. I've had the feathers on my wings nearly burnt off plenty of times before. It's not exactlya fun time." River rubbed her wing. It still hurt from the manticore's venom, but less so now. Even so, every time she moved it it sent waves of agony down her spine. But she'd have to keep going. She would get it properly looked at if they managed to get out of here.
"Huh, I thought the only elevator in the underworld was the door of my father." River quickly added. "The doors of death. It's whay my father uses to traverse life and death quickly." She clarified before getting on the elevator. Carefully folding her wings close to her body so there would be enough space for the two.
River dove through the air as Nyx tried to whip her out of the sky. "Stay still you pest!" Nyx shouted. River dived and ducked in the air. Flying with a giant scythe wasn't exactly easy, but she had years of experience at this point.
River swung her scythe at Nyx whenever she saw an opening. But everytime she almost hit, Nyx would part like shadow and River's scythe strike only thin air. The half- blood refused to let up her attacks.
Shadow bucked and kicked with Dante on It's back. It's teeth bit hard on the staff and it threw It's head down and kicked It's legs up. Trying to throw Dante off.
Shade, however, was ripped apart by judgement cut. Falling into pieces at the darkness. Only for the darkness to begin to reform a few moments later.
"You three dare to try and defeat me against me?!" She boomed and flapped her wings hard. The wind pressure hitting River with enough force to send her spiraling back down to the tower. Barely managing to land on her feet. "Not even Zesu dares to oppose me! Yet a half blood and two demon mutts dare try to face me?"
Nyx slammed her fist into the ground. Three tendrils of shadow shot out from where her fkst landed. One at Dante, one at Vergil, and one at River. She was about to take flignt when the tendril caught her by her leg and slammed her against the ground.

"Short stick. Others are on some cool desert mission in the Sahara." He grumbles and grips his rifle when he hears talking. "...Is that your team?" He asks Siren quietly in case it isn't her team.
"No, they're not." Siren's voice became low. "Stay quiet." She looked around till she found a spot where she could hide. She pressed her body against the side of the wall and listen closely

Albie looks at her, then looks around. "You with anyone, or solo?" He asks, gun in hand. "Or... confidential." He mumbles, then peers into the room. "Nothing in there?"
"That's classified, unfortunately" Siren crossed her arms, her posture a bit more relax now. H. "Nothing in here, or in the entire house. If I had to guess, nobody's been here for awhile. There's no sign of any struggle or people leaving in a hurry." Siren took a step back, allowing him a better look into the room.
"Nothing." He mutters and keeps walking, sighing again. "Could you at least tell me if you have anyone. Weather it be your team or not. Just so I don't shoot 'em on accident." He tries to squirm his way just past confidentiality. "Just tell me. One, two? Maybe three soldiers?" He smirks.
"I'm not alone, but you don't need to worry about bumping into them." She lied. "So, you see any sign of any survivors since coming here?" Siren leaned against the door way.
The scent of blood and moss. Fallen stones there long enough for grass to grow between them. Ann hyperventilated around the corner of one of the stone walls that still stood, kneeling in an attempt to make herself more hidden. The problem with traveling alone, was that no matter how much magic Ann had, she was still susceptible to being caught off guard. Her joints ached where blades had bit into her flesh, the bottom of her boots still tracked blood, her hands felt tacky and she could see where the drying blood on her palms began to crack. Had she gotten all her attackers? Was she safe? The day was growing dimmer with each passing minute. Soon, all would be dark, and if there were any of her would-be assailants left, Ann would be left not only frightened, but mostly blind as well- easy to pick out in the low light. Her fingertips touched the cold marble slabs beneath her, as she peeked around the corner, looking and listening.
Ann gravitated to the bread first. How long had it been since she had bread- real bread made with flour, flour ground from wheat? And there was some sort of dipping sauce to go with it... She tore pieces from the bread and tried the sauces- though, after eating the first few bites, she realized how hungry she actually was. She tore into the bread with her teeth, growling slightly when it wouldn't immediately give, eating fast, but not so fast that she'd choke. Only after the first loaf was done, did she slow down, tearing off more polite chunks, and swallowing them slow. "...Thank you... I know that... that for now I'm a guest, but I won't be forever, so I want to be useful."
"Well, you're a guest until you find a place you want to live. I'd offer for you to stay here permanently, but the guild likely won't be here for more than a few years." Selena took off her arm bracers. "But for the time being, your welcome to stay here as long as you want."
"Ya eat like a hunter." Selena joked. Grabbing some naan and digging in as well. "Eat up all you want. I got plenty of ingredients to make more food later."

River looked back at the two brothers. Her feathers puffed up as she looked at Nyx. Darkness so beautiful yet so horrifying. Part of her was screaming at her to flee. But she held strong. She came this far, not backing down now. Not when she was this close to escaping.
Nyx face contort into a look of confusion then offenses at Dante's words."I'll have you know I've hosted many parties long before you were born. Why my parties were-" she stopped herself. "Wait a second, you're trying to distract me! I won't fall for that again!" She looked down at Dante. "You're trying to distract me while you come up with some plan! I won't let you!"
The horse Dante patted jerked his head down. Nearly biting Dante. Only missing by the skin of it's teeth. The horse grimace. Showing off large vampire like fangs.
"That so called demon king holds nothing over the power of night." Nyx opened her wings. "I control the very darkness it's self! I could swallow you all-"
"Let's just cut the chatter." River foward and summoned her scythe. "You're trying to escape the underworld so you can get revenge on the people who fucked you over. I'm here to stop you, and these two just kinda got roped into it." She point the scythe at the goddess. "Let's get on with it."
"I see you share your father's showman spirit." She grabbed her whip. "No matter. Shadow! Shade! Rip them to pieces!"
The two horses charge at the brothers. There mouths open widen all the way. Attempting to bite into the brother's and tear them apart. There hooves smashing down repeatedly.
Nyx raised her whip into the air before sending it slamming it down towards River. She rolled out of the way and slashed at it with her scythe. A chunk fell off the whip. But the darkness quickly regrew.

Tundra wasn't sure what exactly had sparked Cass to invite her to a karaoke bar. Maybe it was the fact they were one of the last two to leave work today. Maybe Cass just wanted a designated driver.
Either way, it was nice for her not to immediately come home to an empty apartment. Tundra scanned the room, wondering where Cass went. When her eyes caught on to a woman. She had dark tawny skin, with deep blue hair and eyes like the night sky. Tundra felt her heart skip a beat as she looked at the woman. Forgetting about Cass for a moment.

She moved the gun away from him with her other hand. It was a bit difficult to do with one hand, but she unloaded the gun. Dropping the mag to the ground and kicking it to the side.
"Who do you work for?" She held her grip on the knife. Just barely able to maintain control over it. "Answer and I'll let you live, deal?"
Albie grunts and holds his hands by his head. "Callahan." He responds and keeps his head still, not wanting to make a jolt and risk cutting his throat open. "Nocturnal." He adds on, staring her down in the dark hallway. "We do good. You want to keep me here."
Siren raised an eyebrow. A brief look of confusion on her face. She hadn't heard of Callahan or this 'nocturnal' group before. What she was certain of was that it wasn't the group that she was sent to do recon on.
There was, of course, the chance that he was lying. "Why are you here?" Siren's voice became a little less harsh, but the blade still kept close.

The darkness dispersed with a hiss. It clung around the edges of the light. Like waves laping at the beach. "This darkness is brought on by Nyx." River warned. "She's close, get ready."
"The gods have plenty of there own terrifying artifacts." River lead the way. Her bronze arm lifted up. "Years ago, someone stole Zesu's thunderbolt. Imagine if someone had just stole a nuke. That's about as much as people were panicking." River looked back at the two. "Let's hope that artifact doesn't have the same potential damage, otherwise I don't think any of us are gonna leave alive."
The darkness began to grow thicker as they reached to top of the tower. The wind began to pick up. Till finally, they made it to the peak.
The peak was consumed by darkness so thick River thought she would choke on it. She took a deep breath. The daughter of Thanatos stepped foward, opened her wings, and raised her prosthetic arm up. "NYX!" She shouted, hoping no one would be able to notice the fear she was feeling. "SHOW YOURSELF!"
A laugh echo from all around them. The darkness blew past River with hurricane like winds, gathering in front of River, just off the edge of the tower. The darkness began to take the form of a woman with large black wings. "So you finally arrive!"
Nyx was massive. Nearly 40 feet tall. Her body shift like smoke, never truly staying in one place at a time. Her face constantly shifted, except for her blinding white eyes. Her hair flowed long and held the beauty of all of the stars above. She wore a dress that looked like it was made up of the milky way. At her side was a pitch black whip.
On her back were two massive wings. Each beat of her wing sent darkness falling over. The only shielding they had was River's arm and Dante's light. River brought her wings up to shield herself from the wing beats.
"It's so nice to finally meet you two face to face." Nyx looked down at the twins. One of her hands, looking like it was made up from the cosmos, rested on the tower. "I've heard so much about you two. Demonspawn." Her voice dripped with disgust. She raised her hand and snapped her fingers.
Sprouting from darkness sprouted two massive horses. Each bigger than elephant. With black fur and blood red eyes. One on each side of the brothers. "Hopefully your father will understand why this has to be this way." Nyx looked down at River. "But since you are family, I'll make this rather painless for you."

"I um- it doesn't matter." Siren turned to look at the woman. Why couldn't Tundra be here to help? She was better at this than her! "I can help." Siren moved her hand off her gun. "Where did you last see them?"
@umbrellastraitor
Siren listened to what she said. Not good, not good at all. "First thing we need to do is get you to safety." Siren tapped her earpiece. "Alpha, come in this is hanged man. We got a confirmed outbreak. We need to get this place under quarantine stat." She then turned back to the woman. "Do you know where your girlfriend may of gone?" She asked.

Siren stayed hidden in the dark closet. Out of his sight at least for now. He was blocking the only door way. But now she had the advantage of stealth. He hadn't called for back up, so hopefully he was alone.
Siren stayed close to the ground. Her footsteps silent. She grabbed a knife and waited. Then, she sprung! The agent went to grabbed his gun with one hand and press her knife against his throat.

"Now!"
Siren looked up at him. Her clothes, color of the dark blue night sky, wrapped tightly around her body. A modern day remaining of a ninja's ninnikuyoroi. A scarf was wrapped tightly around her face and head. Leaving only her eyes exposed.
A smoke bomb was in her hand. She meant to throw it before he even entered, but he had moved too fast. This entire place had been empty for the past couple of days. No sign of anyone being around. So of course the one time she tried to get a closer look someone would catch her.
Siren studied him. He seemed to be alone, didn't look like much of a threat. Besides the gun he had pointed at her. By the look on his face, he was already tired. If she could find an advantage. She could get the jump on him. Siren raised her hands. "If you insist." She dropped the smoke bomb. It explode into a large puff of smoke as Siren darted behind shelf.
