I see the "Entering Cousins Beach" sign, and it feels like home.
It’s astonishing how after everything being confirmed within the season and what the author and cast are saying in their interviews… people still think Conrad only held onto belly because of her love for him. Is Conrad that egotistical? Have we not covered that Belly is also an unreliable narrator… well actually, in their own way they all are unreliable because of their insecurities, their flaws, and their overbearing promises they made.
After all this… how Conrad left to California, staying away for years, didn’t think Belly still loves him until 3x08… he still loved her without thinking she loved him. He admitted that he FOUGHT his feelings for her because he was scared of them. This is not someone painted to love someone only because she loves him… he would abuse that but in reality he was afraid of breaking his friendship let alone admitting his feelings for her and that was perfectly shown without the confirmation in 3x11.
Like cmon guys, the narrative is there. It’s all been beautifully shown in details and the goal was for the characters to have immense growth. It’s not always about applying our personal takes… we accept what’s given whether we like it or not. The facts of their love has been proven over and over—-what’s not to get.

Christopher Briney narrates Hidden Harbour on Quinn.
there is something incredibly sinister about Jeremiah knowing that Conrad loved Belly all this time and still acting the way he did - kissing her infront of him every chance he got, just to add insult to injury
and people are still wondering why he went no contact
Conrad reassuring Belly that it was not her job to keep their family together is so important!
Especially when you consider that in S2, during the house party, she breaks down bc she feels like she failed Susannah. The summer house is being sold. The brothers are barely speaking to each other. She promised Susannah that she will keep the magic of the summer house alive - keep the people that made the house magical together and she feels like she failed at that. She failed Susannah.
And later when the house is saved, she goes after Jere bc she feels like that’s the only way to keep their families together. Their relationship lasted 4 years bc Belly was too afraid to lose the family bond between their families again.
Even if Conrad wasn’t really present in their lives, in her head he wasn’t angry at her/them, bc he still responded to their calls and messages, so in a way he was still a part of the family. Unlike the way Jeremiah ignored her after the first summer when she got together with Connie.
This whole part of the episode really felt like Conrad was making sure that she knows that it was not on her, none of that responsibility was her to bear…
Come on. Paris never stood a chance.

Conrad always treated Belly right up until his grieving stage. He was pushing her away and saying things he didn’t mean
We’ve seen both Jeremiah and Belly do that as well. None of them are perfect and none of them are the villain. They are people who love, grieve, make mistakes, and grow. That’s the STORY.
I am so tired of the false narrative people put on Conrad because they didn’t get what they want or call it lazy writing. I get that’s your opinion and you don’t need to agree with it, but this is the art of storytelling—-the authors world.
I’m curious if the people actually watch the show and see how Belly, Laurel, Susannah, etc saw how different Conrad was acting that summer—-he wasn’t himself, but what was always part of him was how he didn’t even want to be a burden on anyone. They moms mentioned in season 1 that Conrad broke his arm but wouldn’t tell anyone. That’s an area where he’s working on and still improving on.
By the flashbacks, we’ve seen how much care he has for Belly and in his own will and how belly loved Conrad who he was. They love every version of one another. Conrad is a thoughtful person and I’m tired of seeing the fake of him being selfish, a stalker, etc.
For him to text Jeremiah to wish him luck & his always reaching out… that says a lot about his character. He makes mistakes but takes accountability for them and I’m sorry some people just chose to ignore that for their own narrative that doesn’t exist. 😭
Conrad Fisher and Belly Conklin — Finale Parallels and Callbacks, requested by anon
I love how with belly and conrad in the last ep that their shared history is like a spark between them—but it's not entirely what rekindles the flame. It's seeing each other through this new lens after so much time and distance, it's seeing how the other has changed and grown. It's the way that underneath these new layers is still that sense of familiarity. It's the way that they fundamentally know each other bone deep, but now there's so much newness, so much to learn and relearn. It was falling in love all over again. Conrad telling Belly that if that night was their very first together, he'd still have fallen in love with her. That everything about himself has changed except for his love for her. Belly realizing that as much as she's changed and grown, her heart is still the same. And her heart has always wanted Conrad. It was always inevitable. They gave each other infinity.
