Took me a while to emotionally prepare myself to watch the Persona 3 movies since I was NOT ready to go through that shit again…

Also! Persona 4 Revival looks very clean! The voice cast sounds great, and there’s a lot of flair present I would expect from a modern Persona title. I’ll pick this one up after I finish P4G, but seeing how it’s coming out next year I’ll probably have it beaten by then haha.

The metaverse could be quite dangerous, he knew that much from experience. Having an extra hand, especially considering he was alone right now, could prove to be extremely helpful.
“Sure. Let’s kick some shadow ass.” He performed a little flashy flourish of his dagger. Still, there’s one formality he thinks it’d be a good idea to get out of the way first, before it got inconvenient. “I’m Joker by the way.”
For now he’ll keep his identity as the leader of the phantom thieves to himself. It never hurt to be just a little cautious y’know?
"Heck yeah, let's do this! Lead the way!"
Kotone did a little twirl of her Evoker, though she nearly fumbled and dropped the thing. But, hey, it was somewhat stylish, she supposed.
She pauses for a second. Obviously, Joker isn't their real name, unless he had parents with very creative naming conventions. Well, she supposed it wouldn't hurt to think of a nickname of her own? She tapped her cheek, pondering for a moment.
"...Arisato."
Arisato…Ren makes a mental note of her name as an attempt to commit it to memory. He wasn’t 100% sure if that was a code name or not though. It’s not as outlandish as Joker, or Skull or Panther…or any of the other thieves for that matter, however it wasn’t implausible for that to be a fake name, just like how it wasn’t impossible for it to be her real name either.
Anyway, he’s pretty sure there are no shadows left in their current area. There is a tunnel leading some other direction though, there’s always shadows lurking in tunnels like that.
“Alright,” He gestures towards the tunnel. “I think there could be shadows down there.”
“Unless, we scared them off already.” He adds with a cocky smirk.
“Heh, hope not! I still need to get into the groove of kicking butt, after all!”
Kotone returns the smirk with her own air of eager cockiness, rolling her shoulders in preparation. After so long of just going through the monotonous motions of her current life, for the first time in a while, she felt like she was in a familiar place. It’s…kinda sad when she lingers on that feeling, that the only place she feels home is the place where almost everything that moves wants to beat the brakes off her, but that’s some baggage to unpack later! Maybe never, if possible!
“Welp, I guess ladies go first, so, go on, after you.”

"This enemy's looking more tenacious than I thought...!"
Even after he landed several quick swings at the Shadow in succession, the creature still seemed to remain standing - and probably with a counterattack at the ready if they didn't act soon! Eyes darting over to his companion, he shouts.
"Think you can finish 'em off...?!"
Kotone nodded towards Ryuji in response, Unholstering her Evoker from its pouch on her side. Admittedly, she was a little worried, seeing as she hadn’t used a Persona in a long time, not since the Dark Hour was abolished.
Swallowing her fear, Kotone placed a hand over her chest as she pressed the barrel of the Evoker against the side of her temple, whispering a calling out to the manifestation of her inner self.
“Persona.”
Pulling the trigger, a pale blue fog forms at her feet as the ‘bullet’ comes out the side of her head in the form of blue, broken glass shards, as one Orpheus Talos heeded her call.
“Megidolaon!”
Kotone orders an attack from her Persona, as the Shadow is hit by a beam of blue light from above. Said beam of light quickly turned into a growing area of light, engulfing the shadow in a bubble which promptly exploded.
Skull didn't entirely know just what to make of this girl - of this new ally, of his. Unlike himself, she didn't seem to have a mask or anything - in fact...she almost looked like a girl only a few older than himself.
But...looks could be deceiving - and even if at a glance, she didn't look super threatening - maybe in a way, that was what made her even more threatening in a roundabout way. The fact that she looked so unassuming - actually kept him on his toes that much more.
Plus, he was just glad they were on the same side...!
Seeing her remove that gun from her belt and put it to the side of her head - his fingers twitched nervously as he began to wonder if he ought do something, ought to stop her - but...he had to remember, she was an old hand at this - just as he was. He had to trust her.
Even if this girl seeming to fire a gun at her own head scared the hell out of it...!
Even he couldn't help but instinctively bristle as the Shadow seemed to suddenly be engulfed in a beautiful blue light - was this the power of her Persona at work, here...? Almost dumbly, he glanced back at where the Shadow had once been.
"So, I guess that Shadow's been taken care of...?"
Kotone exhaled heavily, letting the hand that held her Evoker slump to her side as she fought off a nasty headache. She rubs her temple, groaning to herself. Maybe she shouldn't have come out swinging like that as her first time using a Persona in forever.
Hearing him ask for confirmation of the creature's defeat, Kotone glanced back at Skull, then at the pile of goop that was once a Shadow.
"Uh, yeah, pretty sure I might have disintegrated the poor fella, so I'd say its been taking care of!"
She gave a thumbs up alongside a snicker, followed by a small grunt of discomfort as she continued to get smacked around by that aforementioned headache. Kotone lightly smacks the side of her head until it got better, before shaking it off.
"Alllllrighty, onto the next bout."
Skull turned to her - simply watching in a combination of both quiet observation and awe as she lowered her Evoker. He still didn't entirely know what to make of it or what it did exactly...but it seemed to do the job, nonetheless.
His mind almost wanted to bombard her with questions - like for one, why didn't it actually function like a gun...? Why did she have to hold it to her all spooky like that...? Still...now was neither the time nor the place to bombard her, so he shook his head.
"Well, uh, whatever you did..." Just, what had she done exactly...? Either way, couldn't argue with results! "Keep doing it, yeah...?"
He echoes her thumbs up with one of his own, nodding and ready to move onto the next Shadow - although...he couldn't help but note the way her hand seemed to keep going to her head. Had she taken a hit somewhere along the way...? Pausing, his gloved hands shuffled around as they reached into his pocket and removed what he was looking for - a small vial of Medicine.
"D'you need this...? I still got a few on me so I don't mind sharing," His Persona didn't specialize in healing so having a few of these on hand was a bit of necessity. "Or does your Persona, y'know, heal...?"
"Pshhh, nah, I'm fine! Just a lil headache, it'll go away in no time! Hopefully."
Mumbling that last word to herself, she gave Skull a little wink and a smile. Best not to waste that stuff on herself, right? It's just a mild pain that'll go away soon enough, and they might need that stuff later.
"Alrighty, so, we wanna pick another fight and embarrass some more of these dorks, orrrrr do we wanna find the next floor? I'm fine with either option really."
Kotone tilts her head as she tapped her cheek, looking over at her new companion for his two cents.
"O-Okay, if you're sure...!"
Damn, this girl really seemed to be a go getter! He supposed he had to admire her spirit - perhaps in that sense, he ought to take a page out of her book! Even so, he didn't want the injuries to pile up and pile up!
"Heh, well I think we've taken down a lot of Shadows already...! I know I've made a nice bit of coin!"
No doubt, it was nice having some extra spending money on hand!
"Which one would you rather do?"
Kotone continued to tap her finger against her cheek as she weighed her options. On one hand, the more she uses the more powerful attacks at her disposal the bigger this headache seems to get, the downside of not using her Persona in so long. But, on the other hand, she skipped working part-time at the café tonight to come here with Skull, so a little extra yen would go a long way. Better gear, better supplies, maybe use what’s left over for a cute little manga!
“I say we scout out the floor a bit, then shake down the next suckers that we come across for some yen. Pretty sure you know the place better than me, so best if you lead the way, Skull.”
She does a dramatic lil bow, gesturing for him to take the lead with a tiny snicker.

It was, what, Saturday? Sunday? The days have been blending together for her lately. Not like it really mattered, she didn’t have much of a reason to keep track of anything.
Kotone found herself outside the Iwatodai Station, absentmindedly listening to her music as she made her way towards the Strip Mall. Though, she decided to stick around for a moment to reminisce. This was the first place she had experienced the Dark Hour first hand. It felt just like yesterday she was navigating through coffins and puddles of blood. How long would that have been? Three, maybe four years ago? Time’s been hazy for a while now. Again, not like it mattered.
Despite the otherwise disturbing imagery present in the memory, it brought a small, more genuine smile to the otherwise dull expression on her face. A smile that soon faded instantaneously.
Either she was hallucinating from the lack of sleep she’s been getting, which was a real possibility, or she wasn’t the only one recently raised from the dead. Part of her, if not all of her, wanted nothing more to immediately go over and make sure, while the ‘logical’ side of her screamed to hightail it the hell out of there. But she was frozen. Out of fear? Shock? A concoction of both at once? Anyone’s guess, really.
it's enough to make him question his sanity, no doubt. shinjiro has to blink a few times - rub his eyes, even - in an attempt to prove that he's not seeing what he thinks he's seeing. only she doesn't disappear, nor does she suddenly reveal herself to be a mere lookalike. the sight in front of him doesn't change at all.

though shock may have stayed his feet at first, shinjiro now finds himself pushing forward, hands outstretched to fall upon her shoulders; to keep her from running away; to pull her close and convince himself that he hasn't gone crazy.
“ is it - really you? ” it's so impossible to believe that he still has to ask. “ h-how? ”
Kotone bristles at the physical contact, trepidation coursing through her bloodstream, her throat drying up in anxiety as she raced to form some kind of coherent thought, any type of answer. A confirmation, a denial, anything.
"...it's a long story?"

She kicks herself mentally. You die, suddenly come back, and all you have for an answer is the same response you'd give if someone asked where you got a black eye. Great job, girl.
"L-look, can...can we move somewhere more, uh, private? I'll explain everything. Or, everything I can explain, at least."
