She/her. 33. My Silver and Blood hyperfixation made me do this. Fragments of lore, characters, plot, void-shouting and yearning under the moon—built as I play. Main: @notesfromthemirror
This is my little archive corner for the game Silver and Blood.
I needed a place to collect my thoughts, lore notes, screenshots, unhinged rambling, and story progress without flooding my main (@notesfromthemirror) too much. And I really need more content about this game, so I will start by creating it myself.
Don’t expect polished essays every time. Sometimes it’ll just be me yelling about my favorites, crying over a line delivery, or trying to piece together the lore. But that’s the point: this is a living archive, built as I go.
If you’re curious about the game, or just want to watch me overanalyze vampires, you’re in the right place.
🌙 MoonlitCodex Tag System
Use these tags to navigate my Silver and Blood archive. This is mostly for me, but if you stumble in: Welcome to the chaos and the moonlight.
Here we go (stc):
• 📖 #snb plot → story progress notes, chapter recaps, major beats, overall analysis
• 🌑 #snb void → (mostly) untagged moon-yelling (raw emotions, unfiltered character ramblings or even thirst) -> screenshots of my pulls or teams or other random stuff usually go here too, unless I’m tying them into lore 🩸 or dynamics ⚔️.
At the end of the day, this blog is just me yelling at the moon. If someone else hears me, cool. If not, the moon still gets it. :)
I had another heavy migraine this week + an ear inflammation. Asks on main kept me busy, but this weekend I can finally play Silver and Blood again. I literally can’t wait. I also have to catch up on the event story. More posts soon. ☺️
Gilrain voice line roulette is ruining me. How am I supposed to survive this man when he swings between angst, softness, and predatory growls in the space of five minutes??? 😭 Some examples from his voice lines.
•“The feelings in my heart vanished long ago with the moonlight.” → excuse me sir, that’s called emotional devastation.
•“Light begets shadow, but the shadow holds no allegiance.” → philosopher mode unlocked, thanks for the existential crisis.
•“Have you also come to enjoy the night’s serenity?” → suddenly soft and soothing, like he actually wants me to breathe for once.
•“So you’ve found me in the shadows. Try to keep up then.” → the growl. The huff. Goodbye.
•“What’s on your mind? Speak, and I will take care of it.” → oh, so now you’re protective too?
•And then that quiet plea: “…even if you were to descend into hell, would you still be willing to accompany me?” → WHY does he sound like he’s breaking when he says this??
I swear Gilrain has such an interesting voice work in the game. Baritone menace, sarcastic grump, and then out of nowhere: vulnerability so raw I can’t even deal. I will share more structured thoughts about him some other time. I’m just so smitten with him… I guess. 😩☺️
Noah drives me insane because he’s all things at once: sharp-tongued, humorous, reckless, relentless, impossible to control, and yet reasonable. And then suddenly he’ll say something so raw and sincere that it knocks the wind out of you.
For Noah, existence itself is inseparably tied to memory. He doesn’t see it in terms of blood, body, or survival. It’s not just about whether someone remembers you, it’s about who you really are or could be or maybe will be despite or because of those memories. He is headstrong in his beliefs, yet also insecure and confused, because he doesn’t even remember who he is. And that’s why the whole game really does feel like it’s about him.
He’s the menace and the softness, the chaos and the aching heart. And that contradiction? That’s exactly what makes him unforgettable. And don’t get me started on his personality as a whole. Honestly, at this point, he’s not just unforgettable. He’s my weakness.
Cain opens his mouth and it’s over for me. Every line is sharp, layered, deliberate—cutting through politics and cruelty like a blade. And then he throws in something like “As long as I’m here, I won’t allow anyone to harm them” and suddenly I’m on the floor. He’s clever, ruthless when he has to be, but beneath it all there’s this loyalty that makes my chest ache.
I think he’s the kind of guy who enjoys watching people unravel, so it figures.
thinking about how young isaac probably has no attachment to his birthday bc his family never paid him any attention during his childhood... and how he probably dealt with bella being so loudly spoiled and loved by her parents by blocking off any hope for familial warmth... then when he joined albrecht "disorganized attachment" magnus in the church he probably just fixated on becoming stronger...
then all of a sudden he selena became his apprentice and showed him unabashed admiration and respect... and piera showed him quiet and sincere care by preparing him tea late into the night for no reason other than to provide comfort... and then noah shows up with his frustratingly earnest fondness of him despite his insistence that they are enemies...
despite all of his attempts to convince himself that he does not want companionship or need love... the warmth touches him so lightly, but it's so unfamiliar every time!! it must be so jarring and scary and it probably messes up his conceptions of what he truly wants, who he is, and who he's supposed to be... but at the end of the day if this idiot were just honest with himself (and dug through a bit of the chruch's brainwashing) he was still just a boy from sapphire isle who wanted to become a tailor but was forced to become a heretic hunter... and even though he'd probably never (ever) admit it, the unfamiliar and kind of scary warmth... is not unwelcome
“The stars are our birthplace; and thus we were exiled. The moon is but a dream of the sun, and thus we were forgotten by the light.”
The song of the Moonblessed cuts right to the heart of Silver and Blood. Exiled from the stars, forgotten by the sun, the Bloodborn carry this memory as both curse and promise. To gather the Moonblessed is to reach for a way home. An ascension into something beyond flesh and blood.
What makes this so powerful is how it weaves into Noah’s story. From the very first chapter, he’s not just questioning who he is—Bloodborn, shell, curse, salvation—but also what it means to belong in a path that began long before him. The prophecy makes his existence feel both fragile and infinite, romantic and terrifying all at once.
This will be my summary for chapter 1 to keep a track of the plot and lore seeds. The first full chapter of Silver and Blood deepens the stage set by the prologue. What begins with a trial quickly unfolds into tangled politics, betrayal, and prophecy. The focus rests on Empousa Bathory’s fate, Noah’s uneasy role as the Moonblessed, and the shadow of Baphomet—whose experiments and obsession with memory push the story toward its first major climax. Beneath the action lies the heart of the game: questions of identity, the fragility of memory, and the cost of survival. Summary under the cut.
The story opens with the trial of Empousa Bathory. Baphomet, the oldest Elder, also called The Soulless, condemns her for breaking the Bathory family’s laws by bringing Noah back from death. Cain warns that her punishment will be decided by the four highest-ranking elders—a sentence of cruelty without mercy. But Cain, Aiona, and Setti plot to rescue her, asking Noah to help.
What follows is a clash of politics, faith, and identity. In the Hall of Elders, Noah faces what he later calls a “gathering of weirdos.” Aiona argues for Empousa’s cause, Bella and Gilrain trade sharp barbs, and Gilrain plays the role of executioner—even faking Cain’s death to mislead the others. Baphomet mocks the prophecy of the Moonblessed, calling Noah a perfect vessel for his experiments.
Imprisoned, Noah reflects on his fractured memories and questions who he even is. In the dungeon he meets Jestel Aegis, who shares the Bloodborn legend of being born on the moon. Noah calls the ancient prophecy, „far-fetched yet strangely romantic“. Freed by Aiona and Setti, they set out to save Empousa.
Empousa, resigned to death, sings the Moonblessed song as she waits in her cell. Noah arrives, remarking: “Such a beautiful voice. More gentle than the last time I heard it.” Their bond deepens—the blood resonance that links them means he can feel her pain. Yet Baphomet’s cruelty is unrelenting: he unleashes Empousa’s “sisters,” puppet doubles created to replace her. When Baphomet taunts her as the “first puppet,” Noah’s sharp tongue cuts him off with a blunt, “Shut up.”
In the final confrontation, Baphomet declares to Noah: “You’re the one I have waited centuries for.” He recalls once being defeated by a Bloodborn who looked just like Noah, proof that Noah’s existence runs deeper than even he realizes. But this time, Baphomet falls. Cain, revealed to have faked his death with Gilrain’s help, closes the chapter. In a conversation with Noah he mentions that there are still four more Moonblessed yet to be found. “Go and piece together the moon.”
⸻
Lore seeds in this chapter:
• Blood resonance: Empousa and Noah share pain and memory through their bond.
• Bathory Tenets: secrecy; forbidding creation of new Bloodborn; succession struggles.
• Puppets: Empousa’s “sisters” were made to replace her.
• Moonblessed Prophecy: Born on the moon, destined to lead Bloodborn home. Ascension requires all Moonblessed to be gathered.
• Jestel’s tale: Baphomet lost his body after being defeated.
• Moonblessed Song:
“The stars are our birthplace; and thus we were exiled.
The moon is but a dream of the sun, and thus we were forgotten by the light.”
• Bloodborn identity: memory is essence. To lose memory is to lose existence.

Some character notes
• Noah: Reflective, sardonic, yet startlingly sincere. Begins to question his identity: shell or self? Protects Empousa with both wit and loyalty.
• Cain: Fiercely protective, sharp-tongued, and loyal. Unafraid to challenge the elders or to scheme if it means saving others.
• Gilrain: Introduced as a cunning manipulator—dangerous, silver-haired, faking Cain’s death as part of his plans
• Empousa: Burdened by the secret of her puppet replacements. Still deeply loyal to Noah.
• Aiona: The spark that set the Moonblessed journey into motion.
• Jestel: Tortured survivor and warrior who wants to ascend with the Moonblessed.
Some quotes of note:
• Noah: “Who am I? Am I still the same person? Am I an empty shell of the man once known as Noah Nevernight? A curse left on this world by the Black Blood?”
• Noah: “If I’m merely an empty shell inheriting Noah Nevernight’s memories, then I’ve only existed for a day.”
• Cain: “As long as I’m here, I won’t allow anyone to harm them.”
Afterthought to my last post because apparently I can’t shut up: why are they thinking about each other so often?? Like hello?? Van Helsing, you’re supposed to be brooding over the end of the world or other important matters, not pining after your sarcastic vampire. And Noah, you cannot just casually drop lines that sound like banter but are actually raw vulnerability in disguise and then expect me to function.
They’re rivals, they’re mirrors, they’re co-conspirators, and then somehow they’re soft for each other in the moments when it counts most—without even meaning to. It’s ridiculous. I’m ridiculous. They’ve broken my brain. At this point I’m one sleep-deprived thought away from opening a doc and writing actual fanfiction.
Noah and Van Helsing’s dynamic (or bond) isn’t just tension, chemistry and sharp logic. It’s the way they stay with each other. The banter, the constant testing, yes, but also the quiet recognition, the reliance, and the hints of longing. In parts, they mirror each other so strongly that it’s almost inevitable they’d start slipping into each other’s thoughts. It’s sharpness and softness at once: mutual respect wrapped in sass, trust hidden under rivalry, and vulnerability that breaks through in sudden, startling lines. That’s why their dynamic feels so addictive—because beneath all the sparring, they see each other.
Empousa and Noah’s rhythm gives me so many thoughts. She’s on the brink of death, he rushes in to save her, and when she opens her eyes? Relief first, then immediately: “Idiot.”
He’s just as shaken, but she’ll never admit her fear straight. Instead, it’s barbs along the lines of: “I didn’t save you just so you could die again.” She insists he’s more important, calls herself replaceable, then circles back to another “idiot.”
That’s their whole dynamic in miniature. Relief masked as anger, tenderness buried under insults, two people who can’t stand the thought of losing each other, but would rather banter than bare it.
Silver and Blood really doesn’t wait around. By the end of Chapter 1, Noah is already questioning if he’s only lived a single day and what that means for his existence. We’ve got politics and power struggles brewing, Gilrain introduced as the enigmatic “silver-haired man” somehow bound to Cain in both rivalry and conspiracy, and Baphomet casually revealed to be experimenting on Black Blood patients and crafting replaceable puppets. And through it all, the story leaves us with one significant hint—that Noah’s existence stretches far beyond what he knows.
"I need to see you. On my birthday. For a case. Not because I want to see you but because my underling wants cake and surely you'll bring some, right? Right."
