Been a while since I posted anything. Honestly, I’ve been pretty depressed. Feel like there’s no hope. I’m trying to be positive but 30 applications later and only one callback. Not to mention my marriage feels like it’s on the verge of collapse. That’s a long story in itself. If my finances were better, maybe I could not stress as much but nothing at this moment will fix that.

If you’re seeing this, just know my blog is my venting place and feel free to scroll on by if not interested in me talking about the struggles of being unemployed. This is my current struggle that I deal with everyday. I’m so tired of the media portraying the job market as great and unemployment being down. When in reality that’s just not the case. And employers aren’t helping. The number of jobs out there with minimum pay for astronomical requirements only adds fuel to the fire.

What no one tells you.....is that forging a new path is heartbreaking. Sure, the warnings are out there that it is challenging, lonely, frustrating, rewarding, etc. But it is also super heartbreaking as you shed that version of yourself that you've lived so comfortably in for however long. You look for signs, something...anything...to let you know you're on the right path because sometimes it is so painful, the thought of giving up is a relief.
