Moon and Night. Who knew that these would be
personified in the crown prince and princess of Lucis and Tenebrae. Luna
had had sparse dealings with Noctis over the course of her life, and while he
was easily ten years her senior, he had an odd sort of melancholy about him.
Still, she barely knew him, and thus when her brother had come to her saying
King Regis had asked for her hand to be wed to his son when they came of
age, she had initially balked. No, why should she have to.. but then she’d
understood. It was her duty as Princess to see her people taken care of, and
a marriage to Lucis would ensure both military and domestic stability for
years to come.
And yet it still galled her.
Lunafreya blamed not the Crown Prince, for it was not his doing. Then nor
had he tried to stop it. Thus when she finally came to Insomnia, having left
her beloved Tenebrae for the last time, she was to meet him in the throne
room for the first time, formally. So when she entered, wearing a silver gown
with dark high heels and a white corset with billowing sleeves hanging off the
shoulders, she saw him for the first time in all his glory. Dark hair, bestubbled
cheek and jaw and chin, and a presence she was not expecting. Her head
tilted as she looked at him, before falling to a curtsey,
“Prince Noctis - T’is an honor to finally meet you.”
