Brevyn / huge music fan since 2011. My formative favorites include Siouxsie, Cocteau Twins, Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Grace Jones. Those should tell you a lot about my taste, although I was quick to obsess over electronic music and I like to cover whatever genre that interests me.
Moons And Melodies has been main outlet for my music/media writing, music curation and composing. My first post was late 2016 and I reached 470+ followers on Tumblr since then. What to expect:
obscure and/or underrated releases
promotion for my own music
mixes (full list here)
favorite new releases
favorite songs
discussion of various 80s music, including my favorite retro albums
lists
the visual side of music; cover art, soundtracks and videos
sampling
the occasional anniversary tribute
I'm active on Twitter, where I promote my posts and share some smaller stuff (like songs or cover art). You can also check out my Wordpress, which features some longer posts I couldn’t fit into Tumblr.
I’m on Rateyourmusic / Sonemic, where I have several themed lists. I also contributed to their Ultimate Box Set series twice.
Since Tumblr becomes more and more of a ghost town as time goes on, I feel less motivation to keep posting here. I’d appreciate it if you kept tabs on my other pages if you like this blog. Thanks for following!
