You all need to understand that autonomy and especially bodily autonomy NEEDS to include being allowed to do things that are bad for you. True bodily autonomy includes being allowed to do things that are risky, drugs, cosmetic procedures and the like. Bodily autonomy needs to include being allowed to get high or smoke or get a BBL. The important part is education about the risks
[EDIT please stop mentioning suicide in the reblogs, I agree with you but I don’t want to see it in my notes every 15 minutes ]
This is so true, like I personally don't agree with a lot of cosmetic surgery, especially BBLs, because they are so high-risk, but I don't have the energy to be everyone's babysitter. I should be able to get tattoos, piercings, and even do drugs without people policing me all the time, especially other women. And it's infuriating given that I'm almost 30. When I was in middle school, I wore black lipstick for a WEEK and one of the other girls started on about how she read that it can give you mouth cancer, blah blah blah... like, jfc women need to start giving each other a break. I'm sick of the way we police each other like this.
Now I want to wear black lipstick again and dye my hair and even try psychedelics because I'm fucking 30 now (almost) and life is too short to be scared of everything.
