Well, I don't know you, but I usually like to find pleasure in little things.

We all like different everyday things, so try to focus on them and allow them to fill your diary! The smell of coffee, freshly cut grass, your favorite food, you must realize how nice it feels to have them close to you. You can also go somewhere new or to the park or local library just because. If you're old and/or allowed to, you can take a walk when you feel overwhelmed, for clearing your mind in nature/open spaces doesn't need an excuse.
Being happy today is not a necessity, though, but believing in yourself and enjoying these moments can help you feel a bit better in general.
Remember you're loved, and if you don't think you are, it's alright bro, I gotchu ;3 (you will probably find out you are loved if you try to remember by who, and there are lots of awesome people in the world who have lots of love to give).
Summary: It's nighttime in Popstar! How do you get your beauty sleep when you're not exactly alone in bed?

Notes: I'm not biased, it's just that my oc lore heavily includes Meta Knight. Also, non-marked characters can be either platonic or romantic. Reader is to be interpreted as human, or just tall.
KIRBY (platonic)
Ever since you decided to stay in the Dedede castle, Kirby found himself sneaking in more often just to visit his new traveller friend.
Safe to say, it does not only happen at morning; this young warrior just has too much energy sometimes, and sleeping becomes a hard task when you can just visit your friend instead.
So, being the cheerful hero he is, he decides to march into your room with a little sleeping hat and just jump into your arms.
And congrats! You get to cuddle your new friend during a short sleepover, which consists in talking about future games and adventures, lots of hugs, and eating stolen candy from the kitchen.
you woke up the next day with him still in your arms. He's almost like your little brother at this point.
META KNIGHT
Love me a knight with issues

It had been an intense day. You had barely rested as Meta Knight insisted on improving your defense technique, and it had been exhausting!
You ended up having dinner at the castle's infirmary before heading to your bedroom as quickly as possible, to avoid any interactions that could prevent you from claiming your cozy (yet small) bed. Unlucky you.
There he was, standing right outside of your door, arms crossed and ready to keep nagging at you for such weak and exposed fighting posture. However, all of his words were kept inside as a tired huff and a pair of legs passed over him and slammed the bedroom door on his face mask.
While he isn't great at showing his emotions, he knows when to calm down and allow himself to care for others.
And given how his love language is all about service and protection, he took it upon himself to help you get the rest you deserved. He guarded your door, your window, snuck in and covered you with a blanket, went to fetch you some water just in case you woke up thirsty...
And he did all that in such a focused way, that he didn't even noticed your smile. You were wide awake. And so, when you got him at a close enough distance, you grabbed and yanked him into your arms, shielding him from the challenging knight life, and the exhausting reality he lives in.
You did end up waking up again, in the exact same position, but one little detail changed: his mask and shoulder pads were on your bedside table, as well as Galaxia.
The next morning, only the water glass remained. And a plate of pancakes, of course. His best student deserves a little spoiling.
KING DEDEDE
Ah, the king, nagging the poor Escargoon even at night... Like damn, let him be!
Those were your only thoughts as all you could hear was "kirby this, monsters that". You were so done with this! That snail deserves more recognition for his work!
jk jk, it's true but this is the real part:
After what happened in winter, you had grown close with the self-proclaimed king of Dreamlamd. Such was your level of trust, that you weren't surprised to find him grumbling outside of your beroom, with tired eyes and an avoidant gaze that signaled you something wasn't quite right.
He was already expecting another meaningless argument to start, since you also looked like your sleep had been disturbed, but when you frowned and knelt down to look at him? He crumbled.
Dedede explained it all. How he felt restless, and how his thoughts started to spiral down from being annoyed at the "so-called warriors the kids pretend to be" to thinking that maybe, just maybe, he's being an awful king. Of course, he wasn't in conditions of hearing your whole opinion and points of view, so you just invited him in and kindly asked the nearest Waddle Dee to fetch you a cup of warm, honeyed milk.
He's a difficult soul. His own fears and experiences prevent his vulnerability from showing up, making him choose lazy laughs instead of sucking it up and fighting for what he fears of losing. For him, to meet someone who can see through that barrier, and yet still chooses to be there, is a wish only Nova could grant.
Maybe you told him he can do better. Maybe you just calmed him down. Maybe you even scolded him. But you allowed him to choose, and he chose to sleep close to you.
The warm milk tasted sweet to him. It resembled you, your little recipe.
And it resembled him too, deep inside, something you realized upon seeing him wake up on top of you, sprawled out like you're just another luxurious pillow, before discretely walking away back to the throne room.
WADDLE DEES (platonic)
You agreed to work in the castle in exchange for staying temporarily. Your job, you ask me?
Taking care of the Waddle Dees.
Infirmary duty, kitchen duty, training duty, you were always there to help when needed, if you weren't training with Meta Knight. It was only a matter of time before you turn into the most popular person in Dreamland, stealing all of Dedede's votes thanks to your loving kindness towards the little critters. (Escargoon voted you as well, don't let the king notice...!)
And tonight was no different. You were in one of the many, many bedrooms, tucking them in for a long night of resting and dreaming.
There was one particular guard that caught your attention: Bandana Waddle Dee. He even kept the blue bandana on while getting ready for sleep! Obviously, you approached him and offered some help. But he refused? It was ok, though, you were patient.
Your explanation about wrinkles and clothing seemed to make him worry a bit about his bandana, so he ended up taking it off and handing it to you for folding it with care and leaving it next to his pillow.
You wished them all a good night and turned to leave, before hearing a quiet "Wanya!" That made you stop in your tracks.
The Waddle Dees are all a little family, and after all you've done for them, they can't just let you walk to the other end of the castle all alone and tired! So, Bandana Waddle Dee had the idea of bringing together all the blankets and pillows and creating a giant bed where they, with you in the middle, could make a cuddle pile.
All of those Waddle Dees arrived late to their places the next day.

I made this for my blog, since kirby headcannons will be the main content, and I've always been a big fan. I got the idea thanks to my friends bc we have a group for showing our pfp drawings. I don't take comissions, but I can make more if anyone asks.
Just thinking of Revali flying with (reader), them on his back, when suddenly he drops them. He was about to dive down to catch them as usual (it's just normal at this point, reader is not surprised anymore), when they do something unexpected. A bag they had tied on their back opens, and two gliding wings unfold. They get a hold of the ends, and move them to fly upwards. Revali didn't expect them to be that strong, this caught him by surprise...
Who knows? Maybe someday they'll have a race or two...

But if I had to write about any situation... it'd be this:
You had a rough day, Meta Knight's hard training lessons, Dedede's nagging, and various things that just drained your energy. You were in the beach, looking at the sea as your thought started to fill your mind. If only you could mute your consciousness...
What you didn't notice, however, was the small heroe next to you, who let out a concerned "poyo?" At the sight of a sad friend.
You didn't notice him run away either, but you did saw him running back to you with some apples. He sat next to you and gave you one of them happily, as if he were trying to cheer you up. He listened to your problems, and even if he didn't understand some of them, he comforted you as best as he could.
You two saw the sunset begin, and he jumped in your arms. It was int that moment that you realize that you'll always have a friend who's willing to listen to you, no matter what. Although he may fall asleep in your arms after that, like what was happening at the moment.
Meta knight
No. At least, not without asking for permission.
Let's be honest, he's a cold knight and even if he cares for his friends he's not a fan of physical contact.
So it takes a lot, A LOT of hard work to get him to trust you. Many battles and long training sessions, nights of talking and insufferable scolding during hikes.
He does that because he cares for your safety, but you're still a stranger to him. Though, your resilience and kindness have surprised this stoic knight.
Seeing you work hard and smile everyday was suspicious, not many are able to pass his training...
But one day, he saw you crying in your quarters out of exhaustion. He felt... guilty.
So he decided to set his ego to the side and apologize.
Try to imagine the expression under his mask when you told him you just wanted to make him proud because you didn't feel like you belonged to dreamland. :(
He hugged you. It was akward, yes, but it's the thought that matters. He feels bad for you, after all.
Meta had the great Idea of asking you to meet up for lunch the next day, to get to know eachother.
King Dedede
In his defense, he was very cold.
Winter in Dreamland, a strange sight but always welcomed by the most playful ones.
You came to Dreamland not too long ago, and the self-claimed king has hated you ever since. I mean, getting back at him for his insults is so unfair....! (Cue him throwing a fit at poor escargoon because you always manage to see him coming at you with a new scheme to ruin your day)
So when he saw you giving away sweet, hot chocolate to people in the town, he became furious (He wanted you to offer him hot chocolate too). He got closer to throw subtle comments about your chocolate not being tasty, and it ended up in a snowball fight.
What he didn't expect, was you covering him completely in snow.
It seems like Meta knight's training was worth it, after all.
This all leads us to the current situation: him having catched a cold and staying in your guest room at the castle. "It was your fault, you take care of him" (Escargoon's words).
He looked at your figure entering the bedroom with some (burning hot) soup and a cup, not really being in the mood to take medicine. You had to practically force him to finish the soup, but there were no problems when he realized the mysterious cup was filled with your hot chocolate.
After that, when the tiredness started to kick in, you decided it was a good moment to get to know him. Turns out he's not that bad, he's just... lonely. And traumatized (For everything that happens to him in the games).
You were about to go away, but he stopped you. You were about to ask why, when he sat up amd wrapped his arms around you. "Please" was the only thing he said. You really couldn't say no, huh?
You may have gotten a cold last night, but hey, at least you don't have a tyrant making your life impossible everyday! Now, you just have a whiny penguin nagging you with his schemes and plans. If you already understood Escargoon's suffering, now you two bond over it.
Waddle Dee's
MY BABIES
It was an average friday. You used to watch movies every friday night before coming to Dreamland, and it didn't change since there were TV's here too.
You put on whatever movie you could find, grabbed some snacks, a blanket, and sat on the couch. Everything was normal, until you heard a soft knock on the door. It was Bandana Waddle Dee, who came to see if you were doing alright. You cpuld tell he was happy when you offered him to sit next to you.
You talked to him through the entire movie, sharing the snacks and the blankets, carrying him to his quarters when he fell asleep. (He's so pure I can't-)
He came back the next friday, and the next, but that time he brought two other Waddle Dee's with him, claiming that they were following him. Fortunately, you had more that enough snacks for everyone.
But as weeks passed, your room started to get more crowded, to the point that you had to improvise a projector in the gardens and organise the snack and blankets/pillows situation.
By the time two months had passed, and you moved to the plaza (people like Dedede, Escargoon or Meta Knight may be in the crowd, but disguised or hidden, trying not to be suspicious they are).
However, you'll always be surrounded by a pile of happy Waddle Dee's, with any lucky one sleeping in your arms. It's safe to say that they absolutely adore you.

Ok first of all, I want to let you know that I'm aware that you can't catch a cold for not wearing a coat or being cold, it's just series/games/fanfic logic. I just feel the need to clarify this..
