Australia Adventures 🦘
The palm of a hand backs away from the camera lens. “Hey babes!” Sade appears. The camera is slightly wobbly as she reaches to move it downwards where she’s sitting on the middle of her living room floor. Three suitcases, clothes, and random things around her.
“Today is a very exciting day!” All 36 of her straight white teeth are showing as she does a little shoulder shimmy. “I’m going to be visiting...” For a dramatic effect, she taps on her lap for a drumroll. “Australia! So enjoy watching me struggle to pack.” She giggles and begins to pack, walking back and forth from various places to collect more things.
There is a little time lapse showing Sade running around in 2x speed. The vlog slows down to regular speed as Sade zips up one suitcase. Moving on the second one, she realized she may have overpacked it but was determined to get it close. “Beni!”
Benito appears from out the hall, coming from their shared bedroom. His curls lightly disheveled, it was clear he woke up not too long ago but was functioning only because he was used to this type of timing. “¿Sí, mi amor?”
Sade explains the situation softly to him, her full lips forming a slight pout. Assessing the situation, he looks at her. “Puedes usar una de mis otras maletas.” (You can use one of my other suitcases).
She simply shakes her head. Clearing the rest of the sleep out of his throat, he flicks his hand in a "come on" motion. He directs her to sit on top of the suitcase. Once she’s on top, Benito grabs the zipper and firmly tugs on it but carefully enough to not pop it. He managed to close it all the way.
“There you go.” He kisses her forehead and then walks out of the living room. “30 minutes!” He calls out. Sade thanks him before he pushes the bedroom door back behind him.
Sade looks over at her camera. “I’ll see you guys in Australia!” She waves before cutting the camera off. The video cuts to a smooth transition with some lo-fi hip hop in the background. Shots of her feet are shown walking through the airport; her bags (along with Benito's) are being pushed in a cart by a staff member to load onto the plane before they board on.
Another transition hits; the scene changes to a view of organized chaos. Sade, who was already outside near the private plane, recorded Benito walking with his guards through the airport from a decent distance. His fans and paparazzi screaming, multiple camera flashes going off. Benito, being the kind soul that he is, was waving to the fans while smoothly walking, making his way out of the airport.
Her camera catches him walking out of the tunnel. As he gets closer to her, he slightly jogs up to her camera and throws a peace sign up, making her giggle. "¡Vamos pa' Australia!" (Let's go to Australia).
The vlog changes scenes again with lo-fi in the background, beautiful shots of the clouds, and her enjoying some drinks and snacks. Benito is walking back and forth in the aisle. There are some shots of Sade laughing along to the jokes Benito, his manager Noah, and a few more roadies were making.
Another cut happens. It's clear it has been a few hours from the last scene. Benito is holding the camera, filming himself in the mirror of their hotel room. "Sade, te están hackeando" (Sade, you're being hacked). He chuckles to himself as he shows off his incognito outfit. A muscus green hoodie, a cap, sunglasses, a blue t-shirt, shorts, and, of course, his sandals. He dances with his hips and sticks his tongue out, acting silly before coming back to reality. "Don't edit this out." On the screen a piece of text from Sade during editing pops up. SMH, look at him.
In a similar transition from earlier, Sade appears next to him dressed in a pair of light blue jeans, a pink scoop-neck tank top, and white Converse. Her braids were up in a top bun, weighing heavy on her. They were walking through the streets of Sydney. The high sun indicated it was still early in the day. She zooms into a sign across the street from them. "The Rusty Rabbit?" Benito chuckles. "Parece una cafetería. ¿Te gustaría venir?" (It looks like a cafe. Wanna visit?)
As she begins to move her camera down to shut it off, you can hear Benito talking to one of his trusted guards before it cuts abruptly to them sitting and eating some pancakes while trying the coffee sitting around in the cafe that barely had anyone there since they opened not too long ago.
Not included in the vlog, Sade, due to precautionary reasons, got up first with Benito's card, paying for their breakfast, and then left the cafe to sit out in the van. She picks her camera up and hits the record button again.
She talks about her meal, raving about the pancakes. When she sees Benito coming out, she sneakily records as a fan approaches him for a photo, which he allows. A small smile appears on her face behind the camera as she hears the male fan say in Spanish, "Acho PR es otra cosa!" Benito can be seen chuckling as they shake hands. Benito walks over to the fan, still talking to the fan as he opens the door. "¡Nos vemos el sábado, caballero!" (See you Saturday, man!) The fan says before turning away. Benito waves back at him, "¡Sí, nos vemos allá!" (Yes, see you there.)
"I see you made a new friend." Sade teases as Benito shuts the van behind him and the driver drives off. She hands his card back, slipping it in his pocket. "Was he Latino?"
Benito shakes his head as he returns his card to his wallet. "No. I appreciate when foreigners speak Spanish to me. His Spanish was pretty good, at least from what he said to me."
Sade smiles and turns the camera away from them as she gives a kiss on the lips. When she's back in the frame, she waves to the camera. "I will see you all in the next vlog. I am going to enjoy some time without the camera. Love you all. Say adiós, Beni."
"¡Adiós!"
Benito does the honor of pushing his palm into the camera lens, and Sade turns the camera off.
