Say 'hello' to these little ladies! All of the honeybees that you see, collecting nectar and pollinating plants, are female – worker bees are the hives’ backbone and they’re so cute too! Kim, our founder and resident beekeeper, has inspired an unwavering love of bees throughout the Moon Valley Organics family – we are so lucky to be surrounded by so many powerful women!

Kim, WWOOF Interns, and Tuco, the farm dog, head out to make the initial spring assessment on the Moon Valley Bee’s and how they did over the winter! They opened up the bee boxes inspecting for the health of the hive. Who’s Laying Egg’s? Who Needs Food? Who survived the winter? How are the queens doing? Just looking at the overall health of the hive and a little bit of spring cleaning. To our delight a great number of the hives buzzed through the winter abundantly!
