I'm from Wisconsin - I'm proud of that. I go to the University of North Dakota - proud of that too. I'm studying abroad in Adelaide, SA at the Uni of South Australia. I'm PUMPED about that. #undstudyabroad

16.February.2015 When I landed a year ago today, I had no idea that I'd be saying these words. STILL saying these words. Adelaide is my home now. Some things actually are just as easy said as done, some things really aren't, either way it's important not to dismiss something because a choice seems too good to come true. The novelty of being stupidly happy doesn't wear off. Fairytales exist. •If you've never been rejected, you're not trying hard enough. •If you're the smartest person in the room, you're in the wrong room. •If you want it, get it.

My best friend from Paris was so happy to have painted my face to support her team in the World Cup France lost, but SOMEONE had to help her cheer, we were outnumbered by the Germans...

I don't know if I believe in LUCK

When I was about 8 years old I got a first place trophy after a forensics competition. A classmate, who was also in the competition saw me with my trophy and said "wow, you're so lucky!"  I said thank you.  My mom took me aside and said "no, Megan, you're not lucky - you worked for this, you earned it. Luck had nothing to do with it."  I do work hard, but things seem to have fallen into place for me these past few weeks. I worked hard to get to Adelaide, but I think the things that made it special I was lucky to stumble upon. And if it weren't for a little bit of luck, I wouldn't be starting this next chapter ... :)

I've been saying a lot of goodbyes....

In a room with my best French, my best German, and my best Italian friends just after a mini English lesson: Him (Italian): "I wish you were my flatmate, mine didn't teach me anything"  Her (French): "Megan just told me last night, that you don't make a party, you have a party. She let me get it wrong this whole time because she thought it was funny!"  I did... I did think it was funny. I still do.
