I don't even know what to think. Then don't. Don't think. Tell me what you want. Allie Cat. Tell me what you want. This is not a relationship, okay? No strings, no feelings, just sex. Just fսcking kiss me.

The Borgia family would have done great things in ASOIAF....Westeros wouldn't have known what hit it.
Rewatching The Borgias (for the twentieth time) and I am struck by how the period inspiration didn't stop at fabulous sets and costumes- the staging and blocking also sometimes looks like Renaissance paintings. Such a nice touch.
THE BORGIAS (2011-2013) ↴ "May you rot in that circle of hell reserved for the Borgia family."
LUCREZIA & JUAN BORGIA ↴ empathizing with their brother's pain
“I will never fear to cite Cesare Borgia and his actions. Whether it is better to be loved than feared, he was considered cruel; nonetheless, that cruelty united Romagna and brought it peace and stability.” — Niccolò Machiavelli, The Prince.
"Cesare was a real Borgia and fine clothes suited him. His body was muscular yet lithe and his agile supple limbs were harmonious." —The Life and Times of Lucrezia Borgia (Maria Bellonci)
"It's quite funny. Myself and François sat down at the very beginning of the job and watched 'The Godfather' movie. It was at that point I was rather distressed to find out I was James Caan's character and not Al Pacino's. François, however, lords that over me on a daily basis." — DAVID OAKES
"There’s something really dangerous about [Cesare], but I don’t know, I felt him from the inside. I said, “That could be me.” Like, if I was in that position, I could do these things. Which is probably very scary." — FRANÇOIS ARNAUD
(On what aspect of Cesare Borgia resonated most with him) "His logic, I would say. For me, he found a way of justifying, if not to God, to himself, every single horrible act he committed. And his loyalty to the ones he loved." — FRANÇOIS ARNAUD
"On the day before yesterday I found him at home in Trastevere. He was on the point of setting out to go hunting, and entirely in secular habit; that is to say, dressed in silk and armed [...] the archbishop never had any inclination for the priesthood. But his benefice yields him over 16,000 ducats."
— Giandrea Boccaccio (an Ambassador from Ferrara in 1493) describes a meeting with Cesare Borgia.
"I was born with a stain. A mark. Like the mark of Cain. But is the mark of my father, my family. The mark of Borgia. I have tried to be other than I am."
