Fun Fact: Both men and women in Myanmar use a yellow paste from the Thanakha tree as a cosmetic. Applied to the face, it’s an effective sunscreen that also tightens the skin and prevents oiliness.

Fun Fact: Malaysia’s total highway length is longer than the Earth’s circumference: In total, Malaysia has 65, 877km (and counting) of highway. But, the Earth’s circumference is only 40, 075km. Talking about nature!

Fun Fact: Chewing Gum is Not Allowed in Singapore! In the 80′s Singapore was the target of many vandalism, Public city workers had great trouble cleaning the city streets, staircases, elevators, pavements, city busses and other public areas from never-ending chewing gum waste.

During my year in Melbourne, i took a little trip to New Zealand, the most beautiful place i ever seen. Colors and lights over there are so bright that it’s just impossibile take a bad picture and in just a week i fell in love with this island.

Fun Fact: If you draw a line from my born city thru the world the line stops in a sea near New Zealand, making this place the farthest from my home.

My travel thru Thailand include the lil island of koh lipe with a stunning white beach, Phuket, Phi Phi island, the huge city of Bangkok and the historical and U.E.S.C.O. site of Ayutthaya.

Bangkok real name is one of the longest names of a place in the world, made up of Pali and Sanskrit root words:  Krungthepmahanakhon Amonrattanakosin Mahintharayutthaya Mahadilokphop Noppharatratchathaniburirom Udomratchaniwetmahasathan Amonphimanawatansathit Sakkathattiyawitsanukamprasit. What does that name mean? It means “City of Angels, Great City of Immortals, Magnificent City of the Nine Gems, Seat of the King, City of Royal Palaces, Home of Gods Incarnate, Erected by Visvakarman at Indra’s Behest.

I feel like cheating cause somebody told me that Bangkok it’s not it’s real name and i just googled it, so here another really easy fact: Bangkok it’s the biggest city in Thailand!

After my farm work i moved to Melbourne and planned to stay there for six months but, because of it’s beauty and is livability, i actually ended up did a whole year over there.

Fun Fact: Melbourne has the highest number of cafes and restaurants per number of people than any other city in the world and you can guess where i worked during my staying.

Le foto sono frutto di una sovrapposizione di due immagini scattati in due posti diversi: Un piccolo cimitero di paese è un ex fabbrica ormai abbandonata. Il lavoro di postproduzione che ha seguito è risultato piuttosto naturale e semplice, aiutato forse dalla similarità tra gli ambienti. Il contrasto che si crea è una linea sottile tra cura e incuria, tra fiori e calcinacci portando un messaggio di nostalgia. Il Titolo è un’omaggio alla poesia di Dylan Thomas “Do not go gentle into that good night”.

This project is the result of two series of images pic in two different moments. The first series of photos were shots in a cemetery, the second ones in a 1900′s abandoned factory. After taking photos in the factory I realised that I needed to add something at these emptying spaces and the sensation of abandonment that emerges from the picture remind me the contrast with the curate cemetery in a suburb of my city. The contrast result as a fine line between care and neglect, among flowers and debris that carrying a message of nostalgia. The title is taken from the poem “Do not go gentle into that good night” by Dylan Thomas.

During the winter (Queensland’s winter tho) i stopped in Home Hill for work in a farm in order to get my second visa in australia.

Fun fact: Queensland receives an average of 261 days of sunshine every year – hence its nickname, The Sunshine State. Driving thru this place for 2 weeks was amazing!

My travel thru Australia start with Sydney. I spent 6 months in this beautiful city and travelling around new south wales, then i headed north for a farmwork experience.

Fun fact: (i was going to the 100′s beaches of Sydney but travel it’s not just fun so here we are) The Sydney Funnel Web Spider is one of the most dangerous spiders on Earth, able to kill a human in 15 minutes. Its fangs are powerful enough to bite through gloves and fingernails. Watch out!
