This is not really an ask, and I might be a big incoherent.

I just want to say I find it really funny that Ernesto/Fellow, in one of your Playful Land comics, acknowledged the fact that your Yuu just…has no face. I don’t remember anny other characters mentioning it.

I mean, this random guy(?)(gender-neutral) is just walking around with no face, and no one really seems to notice it. Like, they’re magicless, it is implied that they come from a world with no magic, but they can see with a face that has no eyes. Does anybody ask about it? No. They’re all like “Oh look, It’s Yuu, the prefect or Ramshackle” and carry on with their day. Hilarious.

now, let's be fair, this is NRC (and also a world in which Rook exists, as a real human being who's allowed to just walk around and be Like That, legally, somehow). their first meeting was Yuu busting out of a coffin screaming "WHERE AM I. ALSO WHO AM I" and then immediately getting set on fire by their cat. is it really any wonder that Fellow was the first person in a position to actually notice/be tactless about the, y'know, whole faceless thing. everyone was probably just like "wow, okay, rude" (or would have been if they weren't being actively transmogrified at the time, but it's the thought that counts).

(tangentially, one of Fellow's home screen lines is basically "I was pretty freaked out when I saw Ortho for the first time, but now I realize that this school is just absolutely buckwild all the time" and it's my favorite. this man is a lifelong criminal who's indirectly murdered dozens(?) of people and even he's like "something is deeply wrong with these people".)

Your first initial impressions of any Twst character vs your current feelings about them?

honestly, my perception of pretty much every character went through some metamorphosis of "this guy looks like a jerk" to "oh, he's a stupid jerk? now hold on." it's all about that balancing act between a dark brooding asshole and a dark brooding asshole who is also totally ridiculous, and it really does make ALL the difference.

perhaps most ironically, I've mentioned before that I was absolutely not into the Diasomnias at first, because the impression the website gave pre-release was somehow even less favorable than for everyone else and I was mad at Lilia for getting my hopes up for a token girl). and then we got their stories and, well, I kind of just haven't stopped thinking about them since. 🤷

also, I went in thinking that Crowley was going to be. y'know. competent at his job. a helpful guide. a mysterious yet caring mentor figure, a fitting leader for this band of delicate young magic waifs with their fancy little magic outfits and their perfect, perfect hair. I've never been so glad to be wrong.

I feel like we're gonna fall through a tree or whatever and this stitched-up boney gentleman is gonna pop out from behind a gravestone and start serenading us with some smooth jazz on the saxophone.

I don't normally do Just Characters Swearing, but. ...this kind of wrote itself and then wouldn't leave my head. it comes from both a piece of character-writing advice that has always stuck with me, and also my conviction that Leona is 1000% funnier as a character if his dialogue has to stay G-rated. let Kalim say fuck, but don't let Leona say bastard.

I don't play Honkai, but I've just started looking into Genshin Impact's story (someone described Neuvillette's character to me and I was like. hmm. HMM.) I haven't gotten far yet -- really JUST started looking at it -- but I'm looking forward to more! :D
