a lovely nonnie requested some prompts that a hero might say to a villain whoâs either becoming or showing the potential to become a good person, and additionally things that a villain might say to a hero whoâs either becoming or showing the potential to become a villain! spicy stuff, nonnie! i hope these are close to what you were looking for!
hero speaking to villain
â if only you could see what i see⊠â
â you could be so much more, you know. â
â donât be what they made you⊠â
â canât you see that youâre better than this?! â
â thereâs goodness in you. i can see it⊠â
â you donât have to do this! â
â you could be anything you wanted⊠is this truly what you want to be? â
â when i look at you, i donât see someone whoâs evil, cruel, bad⊠i see someone whoâs lost. who feels alone. but youâre not alone. you have me. â
â i wonât hurt you. i donât care what happens. you can do whatever you want. but i will not hurt you. â
â everyone thinks i should kill you. but theyâre wrong. youâre a good person. i donât care what they say. youâre a good person in a bad situation. you donât deserve to die for that. â
â please! donât do this! let me help you! â
â why do you do these terrible things? â
â bad people donât feel bad after hurting others. â
â youâre not a monster. â
â donât let them control you. you can do great things! â
â fine! donât be their hero! be a hero to one person! just one person! â
â fine. donât be their hero. be MY hero. â
â i believe in you. even if they donât. â
â youâll do the right thing. i know you will. â
villain speaking to hero
â well, that wasnât very heroic of you⊠â
â i canât believe iâm about to say this, but⊠you really need to calm down and stop destroying things. â
â what is this? mid-life crisis? personal stuff? mind control? it sure as hell isnât you, thatâs for sure. â
â i canât be a bad guy with no hero to stop me, bud. thatâs your job. remember? â
â what the hellâs the matter with you!? â
â you realize i just saved a civilian⊠from you? â
â is this some weird, murderous reverse psychology trick to make me the hero? â
â okay, this was cute at first, but enoughâs enough. iâm the bad guy. youâre the goodie two shoes. got it? â
â so, the mayor just called me - ME! - to ask me to stop you. just⊠letâs just take a minute to process that⊠â
â get a grip, pal. seriously. you donât even LOOK evil! â
â i have to stop you before you start stealing candy from babies. â
â as your arch nemesis, i feel itâs only right to worry when you start doing my job for me. â
â doesnât this go against your strong and boring moral code? â
â you need therapy. i say this because youâre actually making all the folks in my villain club look like teddy bears. â
â hey! use your words, buddy, not your fists! â
â whoâs messing with your head? you wear the cape and sign autographs one minute, the next youâre blowing up buildings? what gives?! â
â stop! find your own city to terrorise! â
K but Cherry referring to villains only be their proper titles. Professor Crane, Dr. Quinn, Dr. Ivy, D.A Two Face etc. If her boss gives her permission to refer to them by their real name instead of their villain alias she will always apply proper prefixes. Even if they donât! Dr. Riddler, Dr. Freeze, Mr. Jones/Croc, and all that.
Except the Joker. She calls shithead when she talks about him. Sheâd never work for him. Nobody is clear who exactly sheâs talking about when she says âshitheadâ bc sheâs never technically mentioned the Jokerâs name. So whenever people ask about shithead, they are unintentionally calling Joker âshitheadâ. And ainât that beautiful?
Cherry will straight up stop doing crime ifâŠ. The hero pays her. Sheâll even help out, be a hero or something. As long as the money keeps coming in. In short, you can buy Cherryâs moral compass.
Marina is Cherrycore
Out of Cherryâs three âUntouchablesâ i.e villains Cherry refuses to work with no matter what the pay was, if she absolutely had to choose, sheâd easily choose Scarecrow out of all of them. Mainly because I have a feeling that if Cherry ever runs with Scarecrow, sheâll kick Lyle Boltonâs (Lock Up) ass for free and thatâd get her brownie points with Jonathan. Sheâd also always call him âProfessorâ, so he probably would only use his most diluted fear gas on her.
Josie is probably academically smarter than Cherry. Cherry doesnât have the intellect of a 10 year old ofc, but Josie Iâve decided is a genius. Sheâs in fourth grade because she wants to be friends with people her own age, but if she wanted to, she could probably go to high school.
the greatest showman : the other side ⊠sentence starters
âI know you see it.â
âSo, thanks, but no.â
âCanât you see Iâm doing fine?â
âItâll take you to the other side.â
âIâll have to leave that up to you.â
âI donât want to chase you down.â
âAnd if itâs crazy, live a little crazy.â
âI donât need to see the other side.â
âBut I guess Iâll leave that up to you.â
âWe could shake and make it happen.â
âOh, damn! Suddenly youâre free to fly!â
âYou run with me and I can cut you free.â
âOkay, my friend, you want to cut me in?â
âRight here, right now, I put the offer out.â
âNow thatâs a deal that seems worth taking.â
âI admire you, and that whole show you do.â
âJust let me give you the freedom to dream.â
âI quite enjoy the life you say Iâm trapped in.â
âSo trade that typical for something colorful.â
âYouâre onto something, really itâs something.â
âStay in the cage, or youâll finally take the key.â
âAinât in a cage, so I donât need to take the key.â
âWell, I hate to tell you, but it just wonât happen.â
âFair enough, youâd want a piece of all the action.â
âI got what I need and I donât want to take the ride.â
âNow is this really how you like to spend your days?â
âWell, itâs intriguing, but to go would cost me greatly.â
âBut you would finally live a little, finally laugh a little.â
âIf I were mixed up with you, Iâd be the talk of the town.â
â'Cause you can do like you do, or you can do like me.â
âWhy not just go ahead and ask for nickels on the dime?â
âDonât you know that Iâm okay with this uptown part I get to play?â
â'Cause I got what you need, so come with me and take the ride.â
âDonât you wanna get away from the same old part you gotta play?â
âYou can play it sensible, a king of conventional, or you can risk it all and see.â
âNow is this really how you like to spend your days? Whiskey and misery, and parties and plays?â
âIf I were mixed up with you, Iâd be the talk of the town⊠disgraced and disowned, another one of the clowns.â
all that matters
In which Cherry gets screwed over, meets some pint sized power houses, and doesnât kick ass. Oh yeah, and thereâs a bit of tenderness as well.Â

@woremagicâ liked for a starter from here !
It was a time between contracts. Something Cherry had mixed feelings about. On one hand, she got to spend more time with Josie and she didnât have to worry about getting beat up or thrown in jail. On the other hand, however, it meant having down time. Down time that gave her time to think. To think meant to spiral, and to spiral meant that she faced things sheâd rather not face. Emotions and petty things like memories and trauma got in the way of what really mattered. Making the most comfortable life for Josie. So this was a compromise. As she made the drink, Cherry was able to focus on something and think, but not about herself. She always was her best whenever she wasnât the center of attention. Whenever she was just a background figure. It must be what drew her to henching, other than the paycheck that she didnât have to pay taxes on. A hench person was there to provide support, to be in the background. Something she was good at. But right now, Cherry had another way of being in the background, but not quite out of the spotlight.Â
In between contracts there was still bills to be paid, food to get, toys to buy- Cherry couldnât allow herself the luxury of downtime or fun unless it was for Josieâs benefit. So this was the option. Bartending. She knew how to make a good drink, which was enough qualification to get a job at a seedy bar in a seedy part of the city. A place she wouldnât let Josie step foot in, but a place where she typically dwelled. All around her people were talking. About their latest contracts, their latest antics. Who got arrested, who got put in the ICU, who was the last dumbass to take a contract with the clown, who got roasted the hardest by a vigilante, so on and so forth. It was oddly comforting, in a way, she was among kindred spirits. She wouldnât go as far as to call them friends, or even allies. But they were all in the same line of work, and the constant in her ever changing life was something she found soothing. But she didnât allow herself to be taken in by this. It would all go away eventually, sooner or later.Â
Cherry served the drink to the drunk customer, and moved onto the next. Her brown eyes looked around the bar, seeing if anyone would get her attention. She was never one to turn down an opportunity for a tip from a new customer. She even had a smile on her face. A little one. Just enough to where she wouldnât lose money for being a bitch.Â
@massoccursâ liked for a starter from here !
Henching isnât always fighting bats and birds, doing heists or blowing things up. Sometimes itâs very simple. It all depends on the contract. The contract was your bible if you were a hench. As long as you followed it, there would be no retaliation from any reasonable villain you entered into a contract with. The brown haired hench person was on the clock right now, technically. But she wasnât doing anything that was dangerous. No, she was grocery shopping. Not for herself, but for her latest employer: Killer Croc. Or as Cherry called him, Mr. Jones. He seemed to appreciate that. Cherry had worked with Mr. Jones before, and he was one of her preferred bosses. He treated his hench people pretty good, and he was always fair and reasonable to Cherry, which was always a plus. She didnât have to worry about Josie getting discovered either, since he lived in a sewer.Â
Most of her jobs for Mr. Jones were easy. Things like providing plausible deniability, obtaining an alibi. Or getting supplies. Like she was doing now. Her instructions were simple. âGet meat. Please.â. She knew he preferred goat, but she wasnât going to go steal some goat from a farm or some petting zoo. So he would have to do with beef. She didnât even have to pay for it herself, he had merely handed her a large sum of cash. How he got it, well, it wasnât Cherryâs place to ask. And even if it was, she didnât care. All she cared about was getting the meat and getting back to the sewer. She stood in front of the meat section, her shopping cart already loaded with various types of meat ranging from venison to pork. She didnât eat meat herself, but she had no qualms about handling it.Â
So far, nobody took a glance her way. Nobody knew her. Just how she liked it. She hoped that nobody would know her, either from her henching job or her on again off again bartending duties. Cherry continued loading the cart, planning on buying out most of the meat section. She had the money to pay for it, so why not go all out? She liked to do a job thoroughly.Â
So she continued loading the cart, but she always kept an eye on her surroundings.Â
Starter call for Cherry ! Multis pls specify muse.
Cherry really has three different facades she uses depending on where sheâs at and who sheâs with huh.
Riddler: Riddle me this Cherry, if you complete my three riddles youâll have your task for the night. Whatâs three-
Cherry, not looking up from cleaning her guns: Newspaper.
Riddler, balking at the audacity: Fine. If I am an open book-
Cherry, loading her gun: Fire.
Riddler: If-
Cherry, standing up: the solar system. you want me to torch the Gotham Gazette, use the fire to attract the bat, make him figure out that your planning to launch something into space, that he will need to collect tools around the city being hidden by the other hench people, and then he will use those tools to disarm the rocket.
Riddler: How did you figure all of that out??
Cherry, walking out the door: You shouldnât leave your planner exposed.
Cherry has become very, very, very, very good at makeup. She started learning it when she was around 8, due to her mother wanting her to learn for appearance sake. She did it regularly, and was okay at it. However, after the incident and after Florida, itâs when she got scarily good. In order to disguise herself, Cherry learned how to contour so well that her face couldnât even be recognized by Face ID. She also had to learn to cover bruises and other injuries, so Josie doesnât worry. So yeah, if Cherry ever offers a makeover, take it. Youâll look absolutely gorgeous.
If Cherry were to ever die, I think it would be incredibly poetic for her to sacrifice herself for someone. Not her sister, thatâs something sheâs already willing to do. But perhaps she sacrifices herself for a hero. Or a vigilante. Someone whoâs supposed to be on the opposing side. Cherry, whoâs been forced to abandon her morals and sees the job as a paycheck, dies for someone who she could never hope to be. She just, sees the villain about to kill the hero and she jumps in front and takes the hit. She says something like âur life is worth more than mine, Iâm just a henchman.â And then she dies.
