The little bell chimed overhead as Orel stepped inside Buried Pleasures , greeting Stephanie with an enthusiastic smile and wave .  “ Hey Steph !! Sorry I ditched last weekend , I was grounded .”  He pursed up his lips for a moment but ultimately shook it off .  “ I was suppose to be grounded this weekend too , but dad let me off early . He’s been in a good mood lately , which is really weird .”  Weird , but definitely a welcomed change . Orel ducked underneath the hatch that lead to behind the counter and automatically knelt down , searching for the little basket that was kept for price changes .  “ Did you miss me ??”

Looking up from a magazine she was flipping through atop the counter, Stephanie smiled as he rambled on endearingly; he had always been good at that. “ Of course I missed you, kiddo. I had to clean the store myself last week, ” she teased, glancing over at him as he immediately got to work. Orel always had an amazing work ethic, even as a child. “ What were you grounded for this time? You’re not bathing in virgin blood again, are you? ”
