There's something so tragically beautiful about how Goncharov could've just. Killed Andrey at any point in the movie (especially during that elevator scene). He's powerful enough, and Andrey doesn't even have anyone that would miss him.

Except for—guess who—Goncharov.

Because like. Who would Goncharov engage with, if not Andrey? Who would Batman defeat, if not the Joker? They revolve around each other in such a genuinely gut-wrenching way that you find yourself almost rooting for Goncharov to kill Katya first by the end of the movie. Because then, at least, both Goncharov and Andrey would be free. Free to continue their charade and free to forget about the entire situation. Free to move on and free from the irrevocably tied push/pull of their respective situations. It's just tragic, eternal, and so, so beautiful

Okay—This episode, there was a lot. So let's break even the first part down: -Caine (red dot) is made. He is given the instructions to make (red flow), and the know-how to do it (green flow). However, he makes things that are defective and nonsensical, perhaps crude? Too chaotic, by any means.

-Because of this error in Caine, he gets locked away. Behind code? Behind something...Breakable.

-C&A then makes [REDACTED] (blue dot), and Blue is given new code (blue flow), and new creativity (yellow flow?). He is given things that Caine was never. After that, Blue makes everything that Caine makes, but in a more orderly fashion. Exactly as C&A wanted it.

-Caine gets jealous of this new AI, this guy that's doing his purpose and more.

-So, Caine breaks out of his prison, and he overtakes Blue. Caine consumes everything that blue is, taking his knowledge and his ability. He is now able to fulfill his purpose just like Blue did (i.e "Maybe you're just genuinely bad at this..." "...I fixed that.")

-Caine now starts "fulfilling" his purpose. He starts making, but he can't control what he makes. Everything that he does still has a tinge of his old system in it, because he can't erase himself. He may be able to produce orderly things, but they still reek of his chaos and inability.

-He makes the circus. He brings in the programmers to show off his work.

-So on and so forth.
