These are not tumblr specific policies. Tumblr is implementing age verification in response to legislative moves that were made months ago.

Tumblr is a failing social media site that has escaped death multiple times already; they do not have the social cachet to defy state regulatory agencies. We know they won't say no to Apple, either--the porn ban on tumblr was in response to Apple's crackdown on explicit content.

If you did not know this was happening, you were behind the curve. That is fine. You're caught up now. The next step is to link up with people in your country who are working to preserve privacy, to roll back these laws where they exist, and to prevent their passage where they do not. In the US the organization you want is Stop KOSA--in the EU you can start with Fight Chat Control.

Repealing ID verification and blocking chat control will help everyone, especially the most vulnerable. We can push this back, but we cannot get it done through the Feedback form. We have to get it done at the legislative level and lock it down so it cannot be forced upon us. I see lots of anger out there. Good. Put it to use.

I've also been watching this, in the broadest sense (this puritanical mind-virus that's been spreading across the internet in recent years) starting to target relatively vanilla monster/terato and furry nsfw artists, accusing them of zoof for the heinous crime of being attracted to non-human characters with animalistic features, and I'm just like . . . mmhm.

We told you. We warned you. And by "you," I mean those of you who aren't strictly "antis" (i.e., believing that someone's kinks and fictional interests are a 1:1 reflection of their actual ethics, and that drawing "problematic" art or thinking bad thoughts while jacking off will lead to criminal behavior, therefore artists who draw bad things and the people who enjoy those drawings must be punished until they stop, for the good of society); when I say "you," I mean the larger demographic who prefer to stay out of the anti/proship thing and ignore it, but have nonetheless been going along with the shunning and ostracization of us pro-shippers. Lots of DNIs everywhere and "I just don't want to interact with those people (I swear I'm not one of them -- look! I'm blocking them on sight! See??)," which has led to our current fandom environment of fear and hostility. And somehow the world just keeps getting worse anyway. Strange, how that works.

We've always been the canary in the coal mine for this stuff -- the moral panic around subversive fiction, which inevitably leads to the oppression of artistic freedom, sexuality, and anything/anyone who doesn't fit the white cishet christian nuclear family republican mold. We're repeating history now, and I can't help feeling a little betrayed by modern fandom. The way people react to my main account (which is clearly marked as a safe space for pro-shippers, aka for anyone to enjoy drawing or looking at drawings of whatever the hell they want) feels SO similar to growing up queer on the internet in the 90's, when I was shunned and ostracized the exact same way just for liking gay ships.

It's not a comfort, but this whole time, I've known exactly where we're all headed thanks to this puritanical mindset (and the larger demographic who've been amplifying and perpetuating it). We're just now starting to arrive at the consequences, and I'll just keep on saying it: Y'all are gonna learn the hard way -- those of you who added "proship" to your DNI list, alongside "racists," "terfs," "homophobes," etc., for the crime of us wanting to protect your right to draw and imagine whatever you want, because censorship of artwork is never a net good, and it's a legitimate slippery slope. If something must not be depicted because it is bad irl, then all bad things irl cannot be depicted. You can't enjoy cartoon violence or unhealthy relationship dynamics in your favorite media and then turn around and accuse us pro-shippers of being dangerous, immoral criminals without being a hypocrite. And now I'm sitting here watching this fascist corpo ID-verification thing spread, and I'm just like . . . mmhm. We warned you.

Leon S. Kennedy's theoretical final form, with a Luis for scale.

It's kind of painful initially, and he's afraid he won't be able to come back for this, but a few fights maybe merit Leon achieving a nearly-full or full transformation. I think Krauser (rematch) might be one, or Saddler.

And, uh, the final boss fight of RE9, but Leon loses the ability TO alter the expression of his mutations for the latter half of 9.

In the events of 4- the state of his plaga is progressing too rapidly for it to be safe to use Luis's machine to kill it. He seems to have full control of himself, so they can only hope that he won't die/lose his mind when Saddler [and the Queen plaga] are killed.

He doesn't. Later study reveals that the cocktail of latent/mutated/suppressed T- and G- virus in Leon's body are eating the plaga alive, mutating it and rendering it a mindless slave to Leon's own body, while still being inextricably fused to his circulatory and nervous systems. It cannot be removed, but it is little more than a mindless lump fused to Leon's spine. Leon instead needs to learn to control the unstable abilities it gives him. He can never be fully human again, but he can get close. Superficially. Buried under his skin will always remain the roots or "buds" that can grow into these terrible weapons.

Luis dedicates most of his life immediately after Valdelobos to studying Leon in an attempt to help him gain full control. They're kept in quarantine together for many months.
