He stands there for a moment, frozen in place. Contemplating every word, running it over in his head. It's vague enough that there's space for assumptions, but he doesn't like those.

"What do you mean?" It sounds like a stupid question, but he's inclined to ask."

"Vengeance." The Batman had heard the curly-haired male snooping about, but hadn't perceived him as a threat ... yet. He wasn't sure if he'd been following him or seeing him from the corner of his eye had become just a mere coincidence, but he didn't rightly believe in those. He slowly turned, facing the other.

"You're not from here." He doesn't ask, the accent makes it obvious enough. "Why are you here of all places?" After all, Gotham was not on the list of top places to live.

Bruce visibly cringes at the words. He doesn't mean to be so defensive and yet, without the mask, he feels barren -- too visible to the human eye. He pulls on his shirt despite the pleas to not hide because he's not sure what else to do.

"You shouldn't." He shakes his head, never looking at the other, "Battle scars aren't meant to be pretty or loved. They're ... supposed to be remembered only by the wearer as a lesson."

“Poor thing.”

In another woman, her slow saunter could be called floating, graceful as it was. But Ivy remained firmly rooted. Predatory. Reaching out to trace a finger over Bruce’s lips, she sigs, watching golden pollen smear under her calloused fingertips.

“Just one kiss…I guarantee I can make all your troubles go away.”

Bruce can count upon one hand the amount of times he’s been kissed by a woman. Is it crystal clear in his demeanor? He cannot help but wonder. His brain feels jumbled and he’s sure it has something to do with the golden pollen she’s producing. His eyes wide but his mind doing it’s best to calculate in such a strange and possibly dangerous situation.

“I don’t believe you can.” Bruce tries not to inhale as he speaks, shifting to back away from the red headed beauty. His heart pattering against his ribcage.

“Not without killing me in the process.”
